Police union: ‘Dozens’ of Mass. troopers
to resign over vaccine mandate

A top police union says “dozens” of Massachusetts troopers will resign after a judge denied its bid to delay the COVID-19 vaccine mandate imposed by Republican Gov. Charlie Baker. The State Police Association of Massachusetts said the troopers plan to seek employment at departments with “reasonable alternatives” such as mask-wearing or regular testing. The union is disappointed by a judge’s ruling last week that refused to delay Mr. Baker’s mandate, which requires 42,000 state workers and contractors to get vaccinated or receive an exemption by Oct. 17. Those who don’t comply face termination.(Snip)“The state police are already critically short-staffed and acknowledged this

Comments:

Corporations have the power to force people to inject liquids into their bodies, and The State stands ready to deprive refuseniks of their livelihood. And yet Donald Trump was a dictator.

It's not been published in Boston, this story, because they don't want us to see it There was a big crowd, maybe 1000 or more people. Nurses, state troopers, citizens carrying signs all enthusiastic patriots. I watched it on youtube, but it was hard to find. As a Massachusetts citizen, it boosted my hope that change is going to happen.

I'm sure everyone is safer now that the troopers that are left are vaccinated. Of course, those that are left will be unable to respond to all calls for help or other police duties due to having less staff. Same goes for the short sighted mandated that will cause hospital, nursing homes, and other health care facilities to terminate a large percentage of their staff. Last years HERO front line workers who refuse the vaccine have become this years enemy of the state. These ridiculous vaccine mandates are short sighted and will cause substantially more problems than they will solve.

The officers can leave a high tax state and find a job in a (red) low tax state where they will be appreciated and not forced to take the so called vaccine. Win - Win.
