A scandal-hit school board has now launched a study into whether it would be appropriate to give reparations to black people after it previously ignored a landmark desegregation ruling. Loudoun County in Virginia voted 6-3 in favor of beginning the study Tuesday after it was proposed by supervisor Juli Briskman. Speaking to Fox5 about her proposal, Briskman said: 'The anti-CRT (critical race theory) movement is much more about 'today' and what we're teaching today. And my board member initiative is looking back at potential harm that was because we operated segregated schools illegally against the ruling of Brown vs. the Board of Education,

The real estate cabal and the tax collectors welcomed in Yankee refugees who like the weather and the low taxes, but despise the South. And as they always do, they've turned New Virginia into New Jersey South. Enjoy the suck; soon enough the human termites will relocate to Florida or Texas to continue their good work.

Sounds like another school board with a bad case of Mission Creep. Governments shouldn't be deciding school curricula, and school boards should not be deciding governmental policy.

I used to drive through that part of Virginia back about 30+ years ago, and it was all farmland. My parents would go to a big horse show up in that area each year. I never went but have a T-shirt that they got me. About 5-6 years ago, I went through and was surprised at the massive number of new homes built out in areas which were far out country not long before. Bring in Yankees, and you'll get their stupid, destructive Yankee ways, every time. Same problem around Fredricksburg, too. I used to hit I-95 at the Fredricksburg exit from our old central Virginia home when I was going north to DC, say for the museums. But the traffic at that area got so bad as they built out towards the Chancellorsville and Wilderness Battlefield areas that I was avoiding it like the plague the last decade. But, I sold the house, and the last of my holdings there except for one piece of vacant land which I lease out for hunting, and won't be going back. The Virginia I grew up in is pretty much gone, swarmed by northern folks who bring their NY, Boston and other totally dysfunctional ways with them.

I lived in Loudoun County in 2008 and fled back to Texas once it was clear that Virginia was going for Obama and that he would be president. Obama's efforts to transform America can be seen in the political changes in Virginia and in counties like Loudoun that previously were conservative strongholds. Given that Biden is changing the complexion of America at a speed Obama can only envy, the people have a choice. Sitting back and griping about RINOs will only accelerate the changes afoot throughout the country. Texas is not only headed for minority-majority status, it is heading for illegal alien-majority status and we know that every good commie believes it is the right of any illegal to vote in U.S. elections. It won't be long until the people who are laying low, keeping their powder dry will find that there is no use for dry powder as the country is lost. Doing something about it will definitely take people out of their comfort zones but the alarm bells are ringing and once the game is over, there will never again be comfort zones for traditional Americans.

No one in this country today has ever been a slave and no one in this country today has ever owned a slave. The Democrat party fought a civil war to keep slavery. They claimed the slaves would be better off in the care of their masters. After they lost the war they created the KKK to terrorize the newly freed slaves. They created all those Jim Crow laws. If anyone owes reparations it's the Democrat party. NOT the country.

My son in law is black, German, Irish and Apache. He and my daughter, who is half Mexican, live in Loudoun County with 2 children. Who is going to pay reparations to whom in their family? I thank God that he is a conservative. I lived in that county for 24 years and watched it turn blue due to all of the DC bureaucrats and immigrants, both legal and illegal. The county seat, Leesburg, has a huge gang problem. #3, that horse show is the annual Upperville Show which is the oldest horse show in the country. The Oakland Unified School District passed a Covid-19 vaccine mandate for students 12 and older Wednesday, despite a lack of full approval from the FDA that it is safe for children. The measure makes it one of the first districts, with its student population of nearly 50,000, in Northern California to pass such a vaccine requirement and follows a similar decision made by the Los Angeles school district—the second largest in the US—earlier this month. The Piedmont and Hayward districts also passed similar measures Wednesday.(Snip)It was met with concern and some outrage, among parents, students and the school board members themselves.
