The prognostications about the 2022 election have begun and rightly so, given the current collapse of the Biden administration. Historically, unpopular presidents lead to mid-term wipe-outs for their party, and Republicans appear to be in their best position since the conclusion of the 2020 election.
Ironically, a poll out of Virginia that doesn’t actually ask anything about the 2022 election may be the best barometer yet, though. Glenn Youngkin, the Republican candidate for governor has now taken the lead over Democrat Terry McAuliffe with likely voters. That election will happen this year and will represent a major marker in how public opinion is shifting in even blue states.

Thousands of Haitians are sleeping under a border bridge in South Texas as they try to illegally make a home in the United States, the latest example of a desperate group of people seeking haven in America.
The fresh humanitarian crisis snagged Washington’s attention this week as photos and video of Border Patrol agents on horses chasing down Haitian migrants got national attention. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said he was “horrified” by the images, and fellow Democrats have been outraged over how the Biden administration is handling these Haitian migrants at the border.
At the same time, the United States is preparing to nearly double deportations

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Pfizer coronavirus booster shots on Wednesday for senior citizens and those at higher risk for having a severe reaction to the virus.
In a press release, the FDA said that a single booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine can be administered six months after the first two doses for citizens 65 and older, as well as younger citizens with a “high risk of severe” coronavirus:
Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration amended the emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine to allow for use of a single booster dose, to be administered at least six months

Border Patrol was already stretched dangerously thin but on Wednesday, ABC’s World News Tonight celebrated their job getting harder as multiple mounted agents were ordered to “administrative duties” after the rabid left and liberal media smeared them with lies about using “whips” on Haitian migrants.
As NewsBusters had documented all week, ABC anchor David Muir and correspondent Kenneth Moton were committed to parroting the ignorant White House talking point about how the images were “horrific.”

Much of the analysis surrounding Joe Biden’s downfall has centered on national approval ratings. RedState has covered that issue extensively, noting that the president appears to have no support floor. That makes him much more like George W. Bush and less like Donald Trump.
But underneath the national discussion lies the environment that truly matters as we head into 2022, and it’s not looking good for Biden and his cohorts. Biden faces dismal job approval ratings in several battleground states, including Michigan, Virginia, and Iowa, where the president garnered the lowest score since George W. Bush in 2008 in a survey this week.

There are many different polling organizations, but Gallup has the reputation of being among the best, if not the best. So it’s particularly significant that even though many other polls have shown Biden underwater in the past month, the Gallup poll, for the first time, shows that a majority of Americans disapprove of Biden’s performance as president.
In fact, it’s not even close. While 53 percent of Americans disapprove of Biden’s job performance, a mere 43 percent approve, giving him an approval spread of -10 points.
“Eight months after President Joe Biden’s inauguration, his job approval rating has fallen six percentage points to 43%,

Florida was once considered a battleground state, but whatever influence the Democrats had over the Sunshine State is swiftly disappearing as issue after issue plagues their efforts to gain momentum and their footholds are disappearing for the first time ever.
According to The Hill, Democrats are facing a myriad of issues such as a fundraising gap a mile wide when compared to the Florida GOP. This is on top of the fact that the voter registration advantage that they’ve held for years has effectively been destroyed, going from 700,000 more registered voters in the state to just 23,551 over the course of 2008 to today.

President Biden’s net approval rating among unvaccinated black voters has dropped a stunning 17 points since he announced plans to implement a federal vaccine mandate for companies with more than 100 people, according to a new Morning Consult poll.
Biden’s favor among black voters dropped substantially between an initial poll conducted between September 6 and 8 — just before Biden’s mandate announcement on September 9 — and a second poll taken between September 18 to 20 of more than 1,000 black voters.
The second poll revealed that 71 percent of black voters approve of Biden’s performance, down 5 points since the mandate. The share who disapprove rose

The Democratic-controlled House passed a bill to raise the debt ceiling through 2022 and temporarily fund the government until December 3.
But the measure has to be passed by the Senate as well, and Republicans in the upper chamber have dug in and refuse to budge on supporting either a debt increase or a continuing resolution funding the government.
For the GOP, it’s a question of enabling the Democrats’ wildly irresponsible spending plans. Joe Biden has proposed a budget package that would appropriate $3.5 trillion in the largest expansion of social programs since the 1970s.

Americans will blame Democrats and not Republicans for the impending debt default and possible shutdown, a Wednesday Morning Consult/Politico poll revealed.
Registered voters were asked, “If the United States were to default on the national debt, would you tend to blame the Democratic party more, the Republican party more, or both parties equally?”
Thirty-three percent said they would blame Democrats. Sixteen percent said they would blame Republicans while 42 percent said they would blame both parties. Nine percent said they did not know.

Before the United States and many other countries had their first COVID cases, one person was out on the full-court press to shield the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the Chinese government from suspicions that the virus was engineered: Peter Daszak. Daszak, the President of EcoHealth Alliance, a New York-based non-profit that funds viral research around the globe, has had his fingers in almost all of the pies dealing with COVID-19, including “organizing” virologists to sign on to the a lette in “Lancet” stating conclusively that the virus originated naturally, serving on Lancet’s COVID-19 Origins Committee and on the World Health Organization’s team that investigated

A trillion here, a trillion there, and sooner or later people start noticing the math doesn’t add up. Enough people have noticed this about Joe Biden’s expansive and expensive domestic agenda to put the entire enterprise on the verge of collapse. And Democrats know it, Politico reports, but are too torn to stop what appears to be inevitable:
Internal Democratic discord has wounded President Joe Biden’s massive social spending plan, raising the prospect that the package could stall out, shrink dramatically — or even fail altogether.
Myriad problems have arisen.
