Texas Governor Sends Highway Patrol, National
Guard to Block Migrants at Border

Texas Governor Greg Abbott deployed a contingent of Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol troopers to stop the free flow of mostly Haitian migrants from crossing the Rio Grande. The force of nearly 1,000 troopers and National Guard soldiers entered the makeshift migrant camp housing nearly 15,000 migrants under the Del Rio International Bridge. On Saturday afternoon, the troopers used vehicles and barbed wire to block access to a weir dam stretching the Rio Grande.

Comments:

State governments doing what the Federal government should be doing, and the Feds doing what states should be doing. Good job by Abbott, but we're heading for a dark place as a country right now. This is not how it should be.

Biden deserves the brunt of criticism for making this mess, but the whole of the democrat party is equally at fault. First for cheating to get Biden elected then for standing by and watching this disaster take place.

To have 8-10,000 migrants at one time, this had to be an organized event. Who paid for this?

Well it took a lot of calls, emails and I am sure a Governor’s reelection staff looking at Republicans comments online for Abbott to FINALLY get bold here. It is going to take a whole lot more so we pray for you, Gregg Abbott!!

There are several R Governors working at it. Thanks Florida and others. It seems slow but you need to understand the actual MASS of the problem Thousands per 24 hour day. Every day. Every week. COVID plus and headed your way. And the problem was relatively solved until President Joe was inaugurated.

Abbott's good. Very good. I think DeSantis is the guy for 2024, but Abbott is going on to bigger and better things. VP? Chief of Staff? Secretary of Defense? State? I wouldn't bet against him.

Last week we observed the twenty-year anniversary of one of the most significant events in recent American history – September 11th, 2001. Around that same time, there was another, less-publicized anniversary. On Labor Day 2020, the innocent life of a precious little girl was taken away by armed thugs on the streets of a Democrat-run city: Chicago. A city that gets more violent every week.Dajore Wilson was a beautiful, eight-year-old girl from Chicago – who happened to be black – and who died on Labor Day 2020 after multiple gunshots were fired into the car in which she was traveling, along with her parents and an adult, family friend.

When I left Los Angeles the other day, I suddenly realized that almost no one was buzzing about the recall race. Ordinary folks weren’t chattering about it. I didn’t see anything on local TV news. The papers were covering it, but the campaign seemed as remote as a Malibu mountaintop. In fact, the only political passion I saw was at an anti-vaccination rally in Santa Monica, which prompted plenty of horn-honking among passing drivers in the liberal enclave. But with three weeks to go, the national media have suddenly woken up to the fact that Larry Elder could be the next California governor, and are hitting him with a sledgehammer.

Vauhxx Booker, a local civil rights activist and member of the Monroe County Human Rights Commission, was charged with misdemeanor trespass and felony battery for his involvement in last year’s Fourth of July incident at Lake Monroe, according to court documents filed Friday by a special prosecutor in the case.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said capitalism isn’t serving the U.S. as it should. On Friday at the Chatham House in London, the Democrat explained how the U.S. economy hasn’t benefited from capitalism. She insisted the U.S. can’t have a system that benefits some by depending on the exploitation of workers and the environment.“In America, capitalism is our system, it is our economic system, but it has not served our economy as well as it should,” said Pelosi. “And so, what we want to do is not walk away from it, but improve it and make sure it serves us.” (Tweet/Video)

Scott Gottlieb, the former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), admitted during an interview on Face the Nation that the six foot social distancing rule recommended by public health officials for months on end was actually “arbitrary in and of itself,” and he noted that “nobody knows where it came from.” Speaking with Face the Nation’s Margaret Brennan, Gottlieb discussed the rules and risks early in the pandemic, explaining that the Trump administration shifted its focus to the impact lockdowns and rules would have on the economy and children. “My view is that they were sold on the idea that you weren’t going to be able to really affect

They don’t? All this time I’ve been operating on the assumption that the reason they come to the border is because they do intend to stay .Forever, if they can.(Tweet/Video) What Psaki means is that migrants who surrender to the Border Patrol and apply for asylum can, in some circumstances, be summarily expelled under the CDC’s Title 42 pandemic authority. You file your asylum application and then you’re either repatriated or told to get comfortable in Mexico while you await a ruling. Ideally.

A Hillary Clinton lawyer has been indicted for lying to the FBI in the Clinton campaign’s 2016 smear of Donald Trump. The lawyer fed bogus information to the FBI to fuel the false allegation that Trump was colluding with Russia. The lawyer lied to the FBI by stating that he was acting purely as a private citizen, while his own firm’s billing records prove he was actually working for Hillary’s campaign. As the current occupant of the office for which Hillary was campaigning might say in a rare lucid moment, “This is a big f*cking deal.”

One of today’s most important, and weirdly under-reported, news stories is the economic crisis that threatens Great Britain and, more broadly, Europe. Its most striking current manifestation is a food shortage in the U.K. Acute food shortages were feared last night after high gas prices forced most of Britain’s commercial production of carbon dioxide to shut down. Emergency talks were being held between government officials and food producers, retailers and the energy industry…. The closure of two fertiliser plants in northern England and others in Europe has left the food and drink industry facing a shortage of carbon dioxide, which

Did anyone really show up for that super scary far-right rally on Saturday? The “Justice for J6” rally was supposed to be ‘insurrection part II: endgame.’ The barricades were set up again around the US Capitol. The police were everywhere; they were decked out in full-blown riot gear. They were prepared this time. They were prepared…for the media? Yeah, typical elite media whiff here. There were more media members than actual protesters. The threat was exaggerated. The liberal media may not know this yet, but even prior to January 6—the far right in America is…not big.
