Developers will file an application with the city of Los Angeles on Thursday to build what they hope will be a visually stunning, $500-million high-rise on Sunset Boulevard in the heart of Hollywood called the Star. The proposed 22-story glass-skinned office tower would create its own bubble-like world with garden levels open to the elements on the 10th and 17th floors and an enclosed landscaped rooftop with a restaurant, all served by a funicular tram traveling up and down the sides of the tower.   CORRECTION*

Good Grief!!! The restaurant will go out of business in a month. No woman will want to go there because the shape of the mirrored building will make them look fat.

While the verbal description of this tower caused me to hope the structure would be attractive the visual didn’t move me. Still, the outdoor spaces may be wonderful. I hope by the time it is erected that the rulers of LA have all been voted out. The city right now is more dysfunctional than San Francisco.

One wonders whether the architects consulted with the window washing companies in Los Angeles as to how feasible it might be to hang suspended window-washing scaffolding from this structure in order to clean the accumulated window grime from the exterior surfaces.

It would be much more fitting if this high rise was designed to look like a giant human poop overlooking the feces strewn communist death democrats cesspool California and in particular Hollywood has become. Who in their right mind would invest a single dollar in California?

A pair of $1,190 designer sweatpants are causing quite a stir, after multiple critics accused the design as a form of cultural appropriation. Designed by prominent Spanish fashion brand Balenciaga, the 'Tropme-L'oeil' grey sweatpants feature an exposed boxer short built-in above the waistband - a style made famous in hip hop culture during the 90s. Critics caught wind of the controversy after TikTok user @mr200m__, whose real name is Josiah Hyacinth, posted a video mocking design at a Selfridges on September 2.

As of Sept. 1 2021, it will be a felony in Texas to pay for sexual services of any sort. "This law is a rethinking of the traditional supply side in prosecutions that tended to target the women who were involved in these activities and not the buyers. A month after a gunman killed nine workers at a rail yard in San Jose, the city is taking steps to become the first in the nation to require firearms owners to buy insurance and pay fees to relieve taxpayers of the costs of responding to gun violence. The San Jose City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to draft an ordinance that would order gun owners in the city to obtain insurance and pay an annual fee to subsidize police responses, ambulances, medical treatment and other municipal expenses related to shootings, injuries and deaths. The amount of the fee hasn’t been determined, but Mayor Sam Liccardo said

Oakland, too, has vowed to get serious about enforcing its rules against their use. And the entire war may swiftly come to a head if a state Assembly bill seeking to ban new leaf blower sales statewide wins approval.

The Orange County Health Care Agency’s environmental health division determined that the decomposing remains posed a health hazard at Bolsa Chica State Beach.
