Texas county challenges DHS with ban on
transporting migrants who lack
negative COVID-19 test

A Texas county declared a state of disaster Monday over illegal immigrants and COVID-19 exposure and adopted a policy barring them from being transported into or through the jurisdiction until they’ve gotten a new test showing they’re free of the coronavirus. Kinney County, which includes a sliver of the Mexican border along the Rio Grande but serves as a key transit route for migrants being taken to San Antonio, said it has determined unvaccinated and untested illegal immigrants are a real threat to public health.(Snip)The policy is a challenge to the Biden administration, which is relying on buses and vans hired by nonprofits and other private organizations

Comments:

Despite Governor Donothing loudly proclaiming on June 1 that he'd stop illegal aliens, nothing has changed. Sound familiar?

So now the Migrants can be transported deeper into Texas and thence perhaps into other states, but only if they're covid-free (but not vaccinated, as the rest of us are commanded to be). Variations on a theme. June 1, 2021: "Governor Greg Abbott today issued a disaster declaration along Texas' southern border in response to the border crisis, providing more resources and strategies to combat the ongoing influx of unlawful immigrants. The Governor is authorizing the use of all necessary and available state and local resources to protect landowners in these counties from trespassers and the damage they cause to private property. The Governor has also directed the Texas Department of Public Safety to enforce all federal and state criminal laws, including criminal trespassing, smuggling, and human trafficking." https://gov.texas.gov/news/post/governor-abbott-issues-disaster-declaration-in-response-to-border-crisis-in-texas

Great for this county for doing something but Biden won't like it. This is how he's keeping the numbers up by the illegals coming across the border - he's pretty sure with the huge numbers coming across, there will be some infected with covid in the crowd. He sends them all over America, infected. What type of leader does that? How many deaths has this creep caused, besides the soldiers. Besides deaths from covid, how many deaths has he caused by the vaccinations and 2nd doses. A person I know told me about 2 deaths close to her that died a week after getting the 2nd dose. This awful farce is all on biden and the dems. What horrible, evil people. There is a huge division in this country now - how can any normal, law abiding citizen be a democrat?

Covid was down to only a few hospitalizations and almost no deaths until about 2 weeks after Biden started bussing the illegals all over the country. How many Americans have died because of this political strategy?

Why isn't this (the distribution of unvaccinated immigrants throughout our country) the top news story every single day, and the top question for Biden, Fauci, etc. every single day? It's a genuine national emergency. It also makes a complete farce of the mandates for vaccination, masking, and travel restrictions on our citizens! Why should anyone follow any of these mandates if our government openly ignores them for all the immigrants? This is absurd.

Kinney County has got at best 3500 or 4000 people. They (and neighboring counties) are not equipped, in personnel, facilities, or resources to handle the influx of illegal aliens, undocumented persons, future Democrat voters (choose yours) crossing the border, forget about how many are dragging new strains of COVID across. I've been through Kinney County and much of that southwest Texas border area. There is a lot of empty spaces. Oh yeah, and one tree about 15 miles east of Bracketville. That's where the state trooper parks in the shade to catch speeders on US 90.

Federal, state and local leaders on Tuesday unveiled a statue of the late Newark Mayor Kenneth Gibson in front of city hall about two years after another sculpture of him began to crumble shortly after it was erected. Gibson was Newark’s first Black mayor, who served from 1970 to 1986 and governed over the city shortly after the 1967 riots, which some call a rebellion. SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Despite warnings the race would be close, California Gov. Gavin Newsom decisively defeated efforts to kick him out of office, a win the Democrat cast as an endorsement of his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and his party’s liberal values. Newsom cruised to victory in the recall election Tuesday, boosted by healthy turnout among an overwhelmingly Democratic electorate, ensuring the nation’s most populous state will remain a laboratory for progressive policies. With an estimated two-thirds of ballots counted, the “no” response to the question of whether to recall Newsom was ahead by a 30-point margin.

As you look at the stories, remember this context (emphasized as a reminder):(snip)Factually, President Trump’s strategic approach toward foreign threats and foreign intervention (through the use of geopolitical economic pressure) was a major paradigm shift that removed the Defense Department from a primary role, and placed them back into a more appropriate ‘contingency’ role when it came to foreign policy and national security. It was obvious from the outset of the Trump administration that the Pentagon did not like that position.
