State Department obstruction of private
rescue flights from Afghanistan
revealed in leaked email

Original Article

EXCLUSIVE: The State Department refused to grant official approval for private evacuation flights from Afghanistan to land in third countries, even though the department conceded that official authorization would likely be needed for planes to land in those nations, an email reviewed by Fox News shows. Furthermore, the State Department explicitly stated that charter flights, even those containing American citizens, would not be allowed to land at Defense Department (DOD) airbases. U.S. officials have pointed to possible security threats from landing charter planes at military bases, saying that they lack the resources on the ground to fully verify flight manifests.

Comments:

So, once again, the Blinken idiot lied. State Dept. is the obstruction to rescuing Americans - not the Taliban. They would rather rescue 10 of 1000s of barbarians with zero vetting at all, and to hell with actual American citizens.

Bureaucracy and procedures take precedence over Stranded American lives. Funny, BiteMe Taliban and his pompous minions never vetted the 120,000 evacuees before Aug. 31. So why now? This Rogue Administration just doesn't care about our people, however, they do facilitate and profoundly care about the 100Ks of illegal aliens crossing our borders.

Secretary of State Antony "Betrayal" Blinken probably knows that Chuck "Slime" Schumer(D) keeps Mitch "MultiUseless" McConnell(R) on a short leash. Don't expect an uproar from a great majority of the Republican senators when Blinken continues to lie to the American people. Mitch is a paper tiger wanting to get along with any enemy he confronts. So sad that many Republican senators lack courage unless it's a nod and wink from Mitch.

This current state dept is PATHETIC. Just like the executive dept and the JCS. Blinken is an inept, incompetent fool with a long history of failure who should be fired yesterday. Same for the Sec Def & JCS. They fly in 100000 Afghans with no vetting whatsoever & then try to use vetting as a lame excuse to stop Americans & Afghan allies helped by veterans and private Corp escape The hell hole they & Biden created. What a cluster F.

FTA: "If these charters are seeking to go to a U.S. military installation, for example, we have to weigh not only the threat to those who may be on board – especially if they’re American citizens, LPRs, other Afghans to whom we have a special commitment – but also to the safety and security of State Department personnel, U.S. military personnel, Department of Homeland Security personnel, other U.S. personnel on U.S. military installations," Price said. So those of us whose states are literally being invaded by illegal aliens from who knows where, are supposed to believe that this administration is concerned in the least about national security?

Right, because the 120,000 they evacuatd during the chaos were all thoroughly vetted and had all of the proper paperwork. Because everyone streaming over our southern border are pure of heart and never did anything wrong.

Abandoned Americans are Biden's gift to the Taliban. They will be needed for the Taliban to reclaim the billions of Afghan money frozen by the US Treasury. Hostages for $$$ will become the next mantra by the new and improved Taliban. Biden will cave and send them pallets of money.

The State Department has been in mostly treasonous, America-hating hands since Senator McCarthy correctly accused them of being under communist control back in the 1950s...Why do we as Americans put up with such treasonous activity? D'ya think we can trust the FBI to root out the traitors? How about anyone who would work for scum like Mike Brennan or James Clapper? These aforementioned agencies and depts are what should be defunded!

Actually #5, the state department has always been pathetic. The media has been their cover for more than 60 years. I suspect they along with the administration want to take credit for getting Americans out, and not let some private group get the credit. It might be just that spiteful. In D.C., this kind of stuff mirrors what happens in junior high.

Members of Congress and Their Staff Are

President Joe Biden's new vaccine mandates for federal employees don't apply to members of Congress or those who work for Congress or the federal court system. Biden issued two executive orders on Thursday requiring vaccination against COVID for federal workers and contractors who work for the federal government. He also asked the Department of Labor to issue an emergency order requiring businesses with more than 100 employees to ensure their workers are vaccinated or tested on a weekly basis. However, Biden's order on federal workers applies to employees of the executive branch.

A French government decree issued on Thursday bumped the United States and Israel from the country's "green" list, down to "orange," effectively prohibiting nonessential travel to France for unvaccinated visitors. Under France's rules, unvaccinated travelers from either country will still be allowed in provided they have an essential reason for travel, however they'll need a negative Covid-19 test before travel and must quarantine for seven days on arrival. France's move follow restrictions imposed on US travelers from several other European destinations. Earlier this week, Spain changed its entry policy for arrivals from the US, requiring them to have a certificate proving double vaccination.

The University of Texas at San Antonio is no longer using “Come and Take It” as a football chant. In August, university President Taylor Eighmy expressed concern that “Come and Take It” is inseparably linked to political debates, including those over gun rights. The chant is emblazoned on a flag waved at UTSA's football games and also used as a rallying cry during the fourth quarter. The phrase has roots in the Battle of the Alamo, which occurred in San Antonio and preceded the formation of the Republic of Texas.

In his new book, The Authority of the Court and the Peril of Politics, Breyer argues that over time, public acceptance of Supreme Court opinions, even those you may disagree with, has become a habit — a hard-won habit that has fortified the rule of law as an essential part of U.S. democracy.

Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley called White House chief of staff Ron Klain’s recent retweet appearing to praise the Biden administration for executing the "ultimate work-around" for President Biden’s recent vaccine mandate "breathtakingly daft." "The retweet was breathtakingly daft on the eve of litigation over the order. It is reminiscent of President Biden admitting that his own White House counsel and their preferred legal experts all said that the eviction moratorium extension was likely unconstitutional," Turley told Fox News on Friday. "Courts will now be asked to ignore the admission and uphold a self-admitted evasion of constitutional limits," Turley added. The "problem is that the thing being ‘worked around’ is the Constitution."

President Joe Biden extended an eviction moratorium already deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, so it would come as little surprise that President Norms would ignore the law going forward with his imperiled presidency. But Biden's latest blow in his campaign against the coronavirus isn't just a legal mess destined for endless court challenges; it's a logistical nightmare with little likelihood of doing anything other than further tightening the labor market and inflaming the sentiments of the vaccine-hesitant.

(snip) in India and the UK, where the delta variant spread earlier than here, it appears to fizzle down of its own accord. So, Biden may be seeking to claim a “victory” by taking credit for a decline that is already in the cards.
