Former British P.M. Tony Blair Rips Biden

Speaking to the Royal United Services Institute to mark the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and discuss the withdrawal of Western troops from Afghanistan, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair implicitly slammed President Biden, stating, “It is clear now, if it wasn’t before, that America has decided for the foreseeable future it has a very limited appetite for military engagement,” and adding that “short term political imperatives” have given “our allies anxiety and our opponents a belief our time is over.”In his compelling speech, Blair began by asserting, “The Taliban are part of the global movement of radical Islam.

Tough talk now from Tony. Where was this passion when President Trump was clearly facing the peril head-on? Oh, that's right. Tony was MIA. From his mouth: “...In my view, Islamism, both the ideology and the violence, is a first-order security threat, and unchecked, it will come to us even if centered far from us, as 9/11 demonstrated,” he posited. “Like revolutionary communism, it operates in many different arenas and dimensions, and like it, its defeat will come ultimately through confronting both the violence and the ideology by a combination of hard and soft power.” He turned to the lack of political will in the West to confront radical Islam militarily: “Western societies and their political leaders have become, quite understandably, deeply averse to casualties amongst our armed forces. This is not a problem for the armed forces themselves, who are brave and extraordinary people, but it is now an overwhelming political constraint to any commitment to Western boots on the ground except for special forces. Yet the problem this gives rise to is obvious: If the enemy we’re fighting knows the more casualties they inflict the more our political will erodes, the incentive structure is plain.”

Mr. Blair, you're a century too late. The sun sets on the British Empire these days. How did Britain lose it? And how did it go in Afghanistan back in the day? The entire West, those members of NATO, have seen the day when the Commies could get a reaction by sneezing. Foment a civil war, or even just a bit of trouble somewhere, anywhere, and US troops were deployed to stop a domino from dropping in the cause of Freedom. Nothing has really changed. The rumbles to garrison Taiwan as a tripwire have already begun. We've done the same in Poland and elsewhere in the former Warsaw Pact territory. Meanwhile, our effete allies view us as really cheap mercenaries to carry their defense load while they do business with the fearsome Russians. Meanwhile the Brits play along in that "special relationship" we have. You know, the one where Her Majesty's secret service is complicit in the Globalist/UNIPRTY attempt to scuttle a sitting US President.

Let's face it. We aren't the powerful force we once were. It's somebody else's turn. So, Afghanistan, the burial place of empires. It's not worth one more life or one more dollar to fight them one more day. It's their country, their problems, not ours.
