Planned Parenthood Temporarily Blocks

Planned Parenthood has secured a rare emergency temporary restraining order (TRO) in a suit against Texas Right to Life, fresh off the heels of the 5-4 Supreme Court decision not to block the new bill prohibiting abortion after six weeks. Judge Maya Guerra Gamble of the District Court in Travis County, Texas, approved Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas Surgical Health’s application for a TRO in the wake of the Supreme Court decision this week. Judge Gamble insists in the document that the plaintiffs, including doctors and staff, would face imminent lawsuits without the protection of the TRO while waiting to file a preliminary injunction:

Judge shopping taken to a different level of lawfare. Odd how common sense abortion control gets a turbo-liberal judge in Turbo- liberal Travis county to protect abortion but never once has a restraining order stopped gun banning.

Count on a judge in Travis county to trample peoples's rights. In this case, the baby's right to not be murdered.

To wantonly kill an unborn human being, sometimes for the sake of convenience, is just unforgivable. When I got back stateside in 1969 what I heard a lot of was "baby killer". How many has PP chalked up? With this latest assault on the American people with force immunizations, I wonder what happened with my body my choice? Blown clean out of the water. I don't even try to understand anymore. It's just plain insanity.

Amazing, when they pass a law (like HR1) which gives amnesty and gives feds voting control they demand we accept it BUT when a state leg passes a law they do not like they make sure it is not enforced. Hypocrites!!!

The fact that the U.S. Supreme Court denied the emegency relief requested in the recent emergency filing is irrelevant regarding this Texas judge's TRO. It's nonsence to assert that she has overruled the U.S. Supreme Court. The judge's TRO effectively enjoins only the Act's following provision: "CIVIL LIABILITY FOR VIOLATION OR AIDING OR ABETTING VIOLATION (a) Any person, other than an officer or employee of a state or local governmental entity in this state, may bring a civil action against any person who: or (1) performs or induces an abortion in violation of this chapter; (2) knowingly engages in conduct that aids or abets the performance or inducement of an abortion, including paying for or reimbursing the costs of an abortion through insurance or otherwise, if the abortion is performed or induced in violation of this chapter, regardless of whether the person knew or should have known that the abortion would be performed or induced in violation of this chapter; or (3) intends to engage in the conduct described by Subdivision (1) or (2)." This Section (171.208) is an absurd legal can of worms that will eventually be torn to shreads by appeals court decisions. 171.208 turns numerous long standing legal principles on their head. One example: Subdivision 3 above reads: "or (3) intends to engage in the conduct described by Subdivision (1) or (2)." Subdivision 3 is a stand-alone violation (because of its precedent "or"). Subdivision (3) requires ONLY intent. Thus it does not require ANY ACT. It's based on a state of mind. IT'S BASED ON THOUGHT! A cause of action under Subdivision (3) could be based on an email sent by the email's author irrespective of whether such author thereafter abandons such intent without committing the then intended action that would violate the Act if completed.

Leftists disgust me with their rank hypocrisy. On the one hand they want everyone injected with something called a vaccine that has unknown side effects. On the other they want to make sure that killing unborn babies won’t be interfered with at all costs.

Labor Day was once the nation’s most blatantly political national holiday — created by the trade-union movement to celebrate the right of working people to bargain collectively and to stage strikes to press their demands. But no more, for good reason.Even before Congress created the federal holiday in 1894, New York hosted the nation’s first Labor Day parade as 10,000 workers took off from their jobs to march from City Hall to Union Square. As the movement grew, so did the parades and celebrations. How times have changed. Today, Labor Day is largely an occasion for sales, end-of-summer cookouts and back-to-school preparations. Why?

On Saturday, however, the MSNBC host’s personal Twitter account amplified a local tall tale about the drug Ivermectin, which has progressives throwing a tizzy over anecdotal cases that it may have helped some people recover from Covid. (Joe Rogan being the case in point.) Maddow took the local story and blew it up into a national one.

Last year, I became one of those victims. In the summer of 2020, when defunding the police became a popular refrain and white supremacy was considered the greatest threat to the West, I wrote an essay sharing my experiences with racism growing up as

During presidential debates that occurred a little less than a year ago, Biden ripped Trump for his handling of the pandemic. The death count was the centerpiece of this attack. What's with the bizarre campaign against Ivermectin? It's not just that the FDA has put out a quackish tweet (shown here by AT contributor Dr. Brian Joondeph, M.D.) scolding viewers that they are not horses or cows. That's in reference to the fact that in some high-dose forms, ivermectin is used as a horse dewormer, begging the question about its effectiveness when it is dosed and formulated properly as a human medical treatment for COVID, prescribed off-label. The news reports repeatedly call ivermectin a dangerous drug, implying that all uses of the drug are dangerous, even when taken properly.
