The Supreme Court formally denied a request from Texas abortion providers to freeze a state law that bars abortions after six weeks. Chief Justice John Roberts joined the three liberal justices in dissent.
The court's move means that the law -- which is one of the strictest in the nation and bans abortion before many people know they are pregnant -- will remain on the books. The law allows private citizens to bring civil suits against anyone who assists a pregnant person seeking an abortion in violation of the ban.
In an unsigned opinion, the majority wrote that while the clinics had raised "serious

Yes, 'complex' and 'novel.' The law was brilliantly written. It's tied the court and the abortion industry in knots.

Well#3
So he gets invited to the DC parties & told how brave he is opposing US.
It's also because as CJ of SCOTUS he thinks he's at the top.
Should be an hilarious moment for him when he's up before the True Supreme Judge.

Good news, but note that the SC did not rule on the constitutionality of the law. It is not over.

#3 Roberts has always been on the "Dark Side". I firmly believe that he is the John Roberts mentioned on the Roster of people taken to Epstein's Island along with Bill Clinton. Perhaps as a result of his trips to the "Paedophile Palace" is the reason for his compliance with the America-Hating forces of the Kenyan i. e. Obama Care mandate is a tax.

So Roberts didn't say this law is a "tax?"

After we restore our Republic, the entire judiciary in this country must be purged of all these communist judges who have violated time and time their complete distain and disregard for our Constitution starting with the impeachment and removal of the corrupt John Roberts. Bush gave us Afghanistan and Roberts. How's that for a legacy?

Is there a way to select a new Chief Justice while the current one still holds the position? Roberts isn't what people thought he would be, but somehow suspect Bush II knew exactly what he was getting.

Interesting. It appears a majority on the Supreme Court think states have the right to determine abortion policy--despite Roe v. Wade. It sounds like Roe is on the way out.

Every headline I have seen calls this a ban. It is not and if you read further you know it does not ban abortions. What it does is give standing to persons who wish to file lawsuits against medical practitioners who perform those abortions. The bias of the press is clear in those headlines. The left know that most readers will not bother to read the details because they will trust the propaganda they hear from talking heads on the tv.

Someday, I hope to know the story of how John Roberts became so compromised. I believe Antonin Scalia might have known.

The statute, which is NOT a model of legislative draftsmanship, includes:
"Sec. 171.205. EXCEPTION FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCY; RECORDS.
(a) Sections 171.203 and 171.204 do not apply if a physician believes a medical emergency exists that prevents compliance with this subchapter."
In short: pysicians can perform abortions if a "medical emergency" if BELIEVED to exist.
Amazingly, the statute does not define "medical emergency." It's likely this glaringly amateurish omission will result in (avoidable) litigation regarding "medical emergency."
Many of he circumstances that will be "believed" to be a "medical immergency" are going to be rediculous, absurd, or laughable. The mental state of the pregnant woman will frequently be "believed" to be an excusing medical emergency.
Physicians who favor abortions and will liberally "believe" that a medical emergency exists will have thriving abortion practices in Texas; similar to physicians who have triving medical practices regarding workers' compensation and who approve absurd (fraudulant) workers' compensation claims.

Never doubt that somewhere, there is video of John Roberts going pedo on one or more little kids. That is the price of admission for all of these evil demons in Hollywood and DC. Keeps everyone in line and spouting the party line.

Roberts is a turncoat, but we already had discovered this. I think he is done even pretending to have any conservative or constitutionalist ideas. Pure political hack.

Roberts is a Catholic. It appears that he has no problem sacrificing his immortal soul on the altar of murdering innocents.
