National Public Radio, a government-funded outlet, is now shilling against free speech. According to Matt Taibbi, who is himself on the left, via Substack: The guests for NPR’s just-released On The Media episode about the dangers of free speech included Andrew Marantz, author of an article called, “Free Speech is Killing Us”; P.E. Moskowitz, author of “The Case Against Free Speech”; Susan Benesch, director of the “Dangerous Speech Project”; and Berkeley professor John Powell, whose contribution was to rip John Stuart Mill’s defense of free speech in On Liberty as “wrong.”

The only speech which is allowed is that speech which is Government approved. All other speech is subversive. NPR is state-run propaganda. As such, no other opinions are allowed. There is no dispute. NPR is correct. Anyone who does not agree with NPR is an Enemy of the State. We have an army to deal with such people. The Constitution is irrelevant. What matters is POWER. And NPR has POWER. NPR publishes opinions, and those opinions have the force of absolute law. If you disagree, you get a bullet in your head. So don't disagree. We abandoned Afghanistan. Gen Milley has bigger fish to fry. He has the dreaded White Power radicals to exterminate. The Gay flag will wave everywhere, and Critical Race Theory will be the Law of the Land. That is why we have a government.

What free speech? Try speaking out about the government on their handling of just about anything and see how quickly you get shut down. Suggest anything that could be loosely perceived as a threat, such as what our Founding Fathers would have intended or done, and get visited by the FIB, or worse.

Free speech might just expose the truth, and this government can't handle the truth.

"Free speech" was originally championed by liberals. Now it's very clear that the ONLY reason they did so in those days was because they weren't in power then and they wanted to be able to say whatever they wanted regarding Marxism, sex, etc. It was all so heroic. But now THEY are the ones who have the power, controlling virtually all of our institutions (government, media, entertainment, education, etc.). So now, free speech is dangerous and threatens their control. They've even invented the term "hate speech" to describe anything they disagree with and have basically criminalized all such speech.

Progressivism, like all Leftist movements, is at its core, totalitarian. It is the natural conclusion of a movement that believes government is the solution to every problem. This is no surprise to me. It's just another mile-marker passed on the highway to hell in America.

Will they feel that way when they pay with their lives for the positions they hold so dear? I am willing to die for my right to free speech, to worship God, and the pursuit of happiness. I really wonder if effete leftist prigs would put their OWN lives on the line for any of their "ideals," such as LGBTQ supremacy, erasing U.S. history, atheism, or social-media 'cancelling'? It's easy to demand the cops do their filthy work, but would THEY do it? No way in hell.

They already have crushed free speech on any of the most popular 'social media' platforms. And the FBI has become a close facimile of the old soviet KGB. So, next no free speech at all? Steadily heading into being the Soviet States of America.

This past week, there have been ads on the local television stations (Seattle) saying we must stop the government from regulating Big Tech. The ads say (these companies) will be at a disadvantage to compete with other countries if they are regulated and we (they) will be losing rights.

Is the Catholic Church finally showing some leadership? Sure looks like it, with this Washington Post op-ed by San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone: Prominent politicians lost no time in reacting hyperbolically to the Supreme Court’s decision refusing to enjoin Texas’s new law banning abortions after the detection of a fetal heartbeat. President Biden announced a “whole-of-government effort” to find ways to overcome the Texas measure. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) denounced the Supreme Court’s refusal as a “cowardly, dark-of-night decision to uphold a flagrantly unconstitutional assault on women’s rights and health,” and promised new legal action: “This ban necessitates codifying Roe v. Wade” in federal law.

Investigative reporters spend a great deal of time exposing malfeasance and violations of public trust. They alert the world to scandal and try to rouse the public. But then there's ProPublica, the investigative outfit bankrolled by allies of George Soros. It's got a doozy of a scandal to report and wants us all to be horrified. A breathless Twitter thread from ace investigative reporter Isaac Arnsdorf starts with this: (Snip for tweet) He blames Steve Bannon and says it involves the dreaded QAnon. He goes into overdrive with this big scoop:

Joe Biden made a big deal about always consulting the "science." He vowed to follow the "experts." He vowed to control COVID. But well, that promise was like all of Joe's other promises: Totally phony. Two more leading health care regulators, genuine experts in their field, have resigned their long-held positions just as the flu and COVID season is upon us. Their exit follows high-profile resignations at the Centers for Disease Control -- Nancy Messonnier and Anne Schuchat. Word is out that these professionals don't like being issued orders about what the 'science' is from the White House before they can make their determinations

The Taliban held mock funerals for American, British, French and NATO forces today as thousands turned out on the streets of major cities to celebrate the end of the west's 20-year war. Coffins draped with the US, UK and French flags as well as NATO's insignia were paraded through the streets of Khost by crowds flying the Taliban's emblem - just two weeks after anti-Taliban protests in the same city. In Kandahar - a traditional stronghold of the Islamists - thousands also turned out waving white Taliban flags to celebrate what the group is referring to as its 'independence day', hours after the final American troops boarded an evacuation flight

Kathy McCollum, mother of 20-year-old Lance Cpl. Rylee McCollum, called into the “Wilkow Majority” show on SiriusXM Patriot radio where revealed that she had just been notified at her home that her son was killed in the bombing that claimed the lives of at least 13 U.S. soldiers. “That feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap just sent my son to die,” she said, speaking about Biden. “I woke up at four o’clock this morning, two Marines at my doo

The perfumed princes of the Pentagon with their wokester focus, are operating as if they have little to fear as they make a hash of Afghanistan. After all, Joe Biden has made it clear that nobody's getting fired, for one thng. And with all their consulting contracts and revolving board seats, it probably wouldn't even matter if they did. Why does General Milley still have a job? Biden's actually out gaslighting the public about how great he's doing. One problem, though, is emerging out of that phoniness: Growing anger in the ranks. These leaders no longer have the respect of the troops anymore. Here's the first case, according to the Washington Free Beacon:

His lips say 'no, no,' but his eyes say 'yes, yes.' So goes Joe Biden's trust in the Taliban, something he constantly denies. Here's what Biden said on Aug. 23 to a reporter asking him if he trusted a Taliban chieftain: “I don’t trust anyone, including you, I love you, but there aren’t a lot of people I trust. The Taliban has to take a fundamental decision.” Now there's this to demonstrate what all his flippantly generalized distrust actually means, according to Politico: U.S. officials in Kabul gave the Taliban a list of names of American citizens, green card holders and Afghan allies

Joe Biden still isn't done congratulating himself on the great job he's claimed to have done on Afghanistan, and already he's cutting jokes about Americans left behind. Here's the outrageous exchange, according to Matt Margolis of PJMedia: But, when asked about the situation after a briefing on cybersecurity from NBC’s Peter Alexander, Biden treated it like a joke. “What will you do if Americans are still in Afghanistan after the 8/31 deadline?” Alexander asked. That’s when the White House cut off the audio feed.

Giggling her way through Afghanistan questions on the flight over, Kamala Harris touched down in Singapore for the first leg of her Asia trip, supposedly to reassure America's partners and allies that the U.S. has their back. It didn't go well. Supposedly, she's there to reassure America's partners that the U.S. remains committed to them as China grows aggressive in their South China Sea. That's critical now because all eyes are focused on the U.S. fiasco in Afghanistan. Every state in Southeast Asia is asking itself at this minute: Will the U.S. bug out on them just as quickly as it ditched its Afghanistan commitment and left its collaborators in the lurch?

This Sept. 11, a diminished president will preside over a diminished nation. [Snip] Joe Biden was supposed to be the man of the hour: a calming presence exuding decency, moderation and trust. As a candidate, he sold himself as a transitional president, a fatherly figure in the mold of George H.W. Bush who would restore dignity and prudence to the Oval Office after the mendacity and chaos that came before. It’s why I voted for him, as did so many others who once tipped red. Instead, Biden has become the emblem of the hour: headstrong but shaky, ambitious but inept.

Perhaps, at long last, the deadly reign of Anthony Fauci will come to an end. That’s because The Intercept, a hard-left publication, has revealed 900 pages of government documents definitively proving that Fauci used his position to fund gain-of-function research into bat viruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (“WIV”)—and then lied to Congress about it. Since February 2020, the wizened Fauci has been the face of the government’s response to the pandemic. In the ensuing 20 months, Fauci was frequently wrong, incredibly arrogant, and deeply dishonest. Rising case loads have raised concerns as children head back to school, while also rattling investors and upending company return-to-office plans.
