Chicago  - On Tuesday, Chicago Public Schools bus drivers and riders will load up bright and early for day two of the 2021-2022 school year – and both groups hope it goes much more smoothly than it did on Monday. A massive bus driver shortage is creating confusion and stress for parents. (Snip)The district said the rush of resignations was likely driven by COVID-19 vaccination requirements. Families impacted by the loss of school bus service will receive $1,000 for the first two weeks, and $500 in following months to offset some of the costs. “It’s chaos,” Ms. Lewis said. “It’s utter chaos.”

Lyft is probably a lower cost method than a unionized bus driver anyway.

Maybe the parents can use some of the $3,000 a month (per child) they are going to receive from Uncle Joe to pay for Rides to School and Back. Or are their Mamma's using it for Fake Nails at the Salon!!

I hope they use that money to start home schooling instead. The indoctrination in the public schools is not worth the money. Its time parents wise up and teach their children at home. If they must work and don't have the time they should band together and use this money to hire someone else. If the money runs out they should ask for volunteers to teach or find other ways to fund their home schooling. Public schools are one of the main reasons we have communism being shoved down our throats now.

It's SUPPOSED to be chaos. That was the intent of the bioweapon development funded by Dr. Fraud, and the launch by the ChiComs. The continuous disinformation on treatment is more of the operation to create chaos, destroy the country from within.

It cost them $36 for less than ten cents worth of education. You could home-school for thirty minutes and beat the record of most public schools.

Now the kids can be driven to/from school by unvaccinated UBER or LYFT drivers. The city solved a problem that did not exist with their vaccine mandate. Now with their silly mandate there is a shortage of school bus drivers. The same thing will be happening with physicians, nurses, hospital staff, nursing home staff, and in-home care workers once Biden decides to make Medicaid funding dependent on staff vaccine status. There is already a shortage of healthcare workers. It will get much worse. No bus drivers, no medical workers; who knows what other industries will be effected. The "cure" will be much worse than the illness.

What's infuriating is there are 3rd world countries where the schools operate more smoothly than in 'blue' cities like Chicago. The students all walk to school, wear uniforms, and are in classes for up to 8 hours/day. And the students are all eager to learn.

Nearly half of the nation’s children aged 5 through 11 now qualify as either overweight or obese, according to results of a new study out Friday. Rep. Adam Kinzinger is likely to lose his House seat after Illinois Democrats redraw the state map for the post-2020 redistricting cycle, according to a Politico report on Wednesday. Kinzinger, who rose to prominence in the Trump era as a vocal critic of the former president, has represented Illinois' 16th Congressional District, which covers the exurbs of Chicago, since 2013. Democratic state lawmakers, who are in control of Illinois' redistricting map, are planning to remove Kinzinger's seat, sources familiar with the process told Politico. If that happens, Kinzinger may have to run for another office in the blue-leaning state should he choose to remain an elected official next year.

I ask this question for two reasons: I have seen enough videos and read about enough officer-civilian interactions to know that the act of subduing a lethal threat requires several rounds. If an intruder entered my home and threatened my wife and child, I would shoot until I was able to ensure the target was immobilized. As to the first statement, there are plenty of examples of police officers firing multiple shots at a suspected threat.
