Commander of the United States Central Command Gen. Kenneth McKenzie told reporters Thursday that the U.S. expected to be attacked “sooner rather than later” following a deadly terror attack in Kabul, Afghanistan.Suicide bombers attacked the throngs of people just outside of the Kabul airport, killing at least 12 U.S. service members and injuring at least 15 others. The number of injured and dead Afghans remains unknown. Hours after the attack, McKenzie spoke to reporters at the Pentagon press briefing, announcing the evacuation mission will continue and admitting the attack wasn’t a surprise.

Ohhhhh.
So if you expected it, Kenny (may I call you Kenny?), did you bother doing anything about it? Isn't that like supposed to be like your job?
This guy's the Commander of CentCom?? Seriously?!

Our military is run by a bunch of damned incompetent idiots. You expected it but did nothing except expose your troops and get them killed for nothing.

So, where was the freakin' preparation or prevention for sooner rather than later? I despise these people. That sack of potatoes thief in chief is the worst garbage walking the planet right now. In his press conference, he thought he was connecting with US and personalizing twelve Marines dead at his hand. Nobody cares about his son's so called service. We saw the true biden when Doocy asked him a question; we blamed everyone but himself. The puppet seemed to be listening from some ear piece to provide answers to the prepared questions. The fool said he was going to get out all the Americans they can; not everyone last one of them. Where was the, "If one American is harmed, we're coming after you"? I can't stand this piece of trash.

That makes it OK? Guess we need more White Supremist training and another 1/6 investigation.

If the attack was “expected”, were our Marines told to spread out, keep your distance, don’t congregate? From my limited knowledge, it appears that 18 to 24 Marines were closely bunched in helping the refugees rather than being spread out to reduce explosion risk. These close quarters exposed the good hearted Marines to the alleged screening by the Taliban security guards who supposedly kept ISIS from entering the crowed refugee area.
Today’s deaths of 13 Marines is little different than the 273 Marines killed in the Beirut barracks when a terrorist drove his truck bomb past local guards who weren’t given bullets required to stop such an attack. Our Marines were required to trust the wrong people.

I think I heard a loud “Tsk. Tsk”. The absence of empathy is a sign of psychopathy, just like his CIC.

#6, the difference with the Marines in Beirut was that they had no mission. President Reagan, a quick learner, never fell for his military leaders nonsense again.

Well he couldn't very well say they were caught by surprise because that would make them look dumb. Appearing smart is the most important thing to democrats. Only republicans can be dumb. That's why they hate Trump so bad, because he's smarter than them and they know it.

So perhaps the "Top US Officials" should have done something SOONER.

General McKenzie should put out to pasture sooner rather than later.

I have known Frank McKenzie for 30 years. He is a friend of mine but his performance as the CENTCOM commander has been a disaster. He needs to be relieved immediately.

If they “expected” such an attack at or near the Kabul Airport, why did the Generals allow the American troops to be so close to masses of unidentified Taliban and other unidentified Afghans to where they could be blown up by terrorist suicide bombers?

McKenzie, Austin, and a few others must been Generals promoted so their boss didn’t have to deal with them. Screw up, move up. Some good Generals were fired by Obama.

Based on what I have heard from our senior military officers during the past month, I doubt any of them could be a successful patrol leader in the Boy Scouts.
