Former President Obama's ethics chief on Wednesday ripped the Biden White House for brokering a deal last month so that Hunter Biden, and the American public at large, would never know who was buying his paintings.
Walter Shaub appeared on Law & Crime’s "Objections" podcast, where he did not mince words about how he felt about the behavior of the White House, President Biden, and his son, Hunter, regarding his upcoming art shows in Los Angeles and New York City. Hunter's paintings are priced between $75,000 and $500,000, despite his lack of artistic experience.

UPDATE: Fox News reports that at least three U.S. troops have been injured in the attack at the Abbey Gate. Jennifer Griffin reports that this is a “complex attack” including both explosives and a gunfight. [Tweets] Numerous news outlets are reporting that there has been an explosion outside the Abbey Gate at Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) in Kabul, Afghanistan. Reports indicate it may be a mix of a suiciding bomb and improvised explosive device (IED) attack. The threat of terrorist attacks at the besieged airport has been all too real since Kabul fell to the Taliban last weekend. The U.S. State Department issued a warning late

When I first looked at the headline on one of the articles I sourced to write my article, it reminded me of an algebraic equation that I would have to “solve” in order to figure out what happened when — and what, exactly, was this guy’s issue when this whole thing started and what it is, now:

See what I mean?
Anyway, as reported by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, an Illinois man was convicted in December 2020 of orchestrating a 2017 attack at the Dar Al-Farooq Islamic Center

The most valuable sports card of all time has been sold for a whopping $6.6 million. The card is a T206 Honus Wagner -- one of the move coveted sports cards on the planet -- that dates back to 1909. The bidding for the Pirates' legend's card began on July 23 and opened at $1 million.
The number skyrocketed from there.
"This is an incredible result that speaks to this card's status as one of the world's most iconic collectibles," Robert Edward Auctions President Brian Dwyer said. "The rarity and the legend of the T206 Honus Wagner, coupled with the quality of this example, excited bidders who recognized it may be

One of the most fascinating questions about WW2 concerns when the Nazis realized they had lost the war. Some say the generals knew early as December 1941, when Operation Barbarossa was stopped before Moscow, that the great throw of the dice had failed. Others say civilian leaders came to it in 1942 when Case Blue failed to secure the oil they needed to fight on in the East. But most certainly the public moment had come by February 1943, when Joseph Goebbels delivered his famous “Total War” speech admitting that, far from attaining victory, the Reich would be very lucky to survive without a mobilization on a Communist scale.

Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida, made a bizarre tweet earlier this week regarding the Olympics and Team USA’s medal count that has left me confused for a number of reasons.
“I wonder how our medal totals would be if we had an exclusionary immigration system which we have had for the last few years,” the one-time presidential candidate wrote. “My heart swells for all of our medalists, including those whose families have come from far off lands to love our country.” [Tweet] This poorly worded tweet seems to be suggesting that Jeb is disappointed in Team USA’s medal count and believes it would be better if

NEW YORK CITY—Just as New York City restaurateurs thought they would perhaps see their way out of crushing COVID-19 restrictions and back to “normalcy,” the city’s government dealt out another blow: Restaurants will now have to check customers for proof of vaccination, or themselves face fines.
In response, restaurant owners seem to have flocked to one of two positions. Some support the rule as long as it prevents more lockdowns, while others reject it as an unreasonable imposition on their already vulnerable operations.
Restaurants have been among the hardest hit by the lockdown imposed in response to the pandemic of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, which causes COVID-19. New York City

Reading PJ Media the other day, I discovered to my shock that, without my knowing it, I’ve somehow become a violent extremist. As a result, the social media giants Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, and YouTube are determined to eradicate my nefarious presence from the interwebs. I don’t know when this particular boom will be lowered on me, if ever, but if my website Jihad Watch and I suddenly disappear from your daily Internet reading, you’ll know that our intrepid self-appointed protectors are working night and day to keep you safe from violent extremism, and are to be commended for doing so.

The Mexican government on Wednesday sued several U.S. gun manufacturers, alleging that they contribute to illegal gun trafficking to Mexico.
The lawsuit was filed in U.S. federal court in Boston. Among the defendants named in the suit are Smith & Wesson, Barrett Firearms, Beretta U.S.A. and Colt’s Manufacturing Company.
The companies did not immediately respond to CNBC’s requests for comment.
The gun manufacturers are accused of negligent business practices that facilitate smuggling guns to Mexico and cause “massive damage” to the country. The lawsuit alleges that they knowingly supply the criminal gun market in Mexico in particular, saying the companies’ military-style guns often

Even world-record-holding athletes can be surprised by their personal feats.
Norway’s Karsten Warholm crushed his own world record to win the men’s 400m hurdles final in 45.94 seconds on Monday night.
And his reaction was priceless.
On July 1, Warholm broke American Kevin Young’s 29-year-old world record of 46.78 seconds at a Diamond League meet with a time of 46.70, and he blew by that mark just over a month later to win gold in Tokyo.
American Rai Benjamin also beat Warholm’s previous world record on Monday by finishing in 46.17 seconds, but it was only enough for him to land the silver medal. Brazil’s Alison dos Santos (who had a similar reaction as

How determined is the Biden administration to let illegal aliens in?
Well, according to the latest report from Breitbart, determined enough to put in overtime to defy a judicial order.
Here's the report: (Snip) It's a strange thing, seeing the federal government defy a judicial order in order to benefit foreign nationals illegally present in the country. They claim it's a "mistake," but that doesn't hold water — according to Robert Law at the Center for Immigration Studies, they actually put in overtime on the weekend, something they rarely do, all to get those nine cases through.

A Coptic Christian church was recently burned to the ground—not in Egypt, where the torching of Coptic churches is not an uncommon occurrence, but in Canada, also known as “the church-burning centre of the Western world.”
In the early morning hours of July 19, St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in Surrey, which served 500 families and provided food for the homeless, was set aflame and completely destroyed. Only one charred wall remains standing.
According to the report, “The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but Surrey RCMP [police] said it is being treated as ‘suspicious.’ The St. George Coptic
