Joe Biden is 'unlikely' to meet his August 31 deadline to evacuate US citizens and their allies from Afghanistan, the chair of the House Intelligence Committee said Monday. Adam Schiff made the grim prediction after an intelligence briefing Monday evening, as the Taliban rejected a mooted extension to the withdrawal date. Schiff said a full evacuation was 'possible' but 'very unlikely given the number of Americans who still need to be evacuated, the number of SIV’s, the number of others who are members of the Afghan press, civil society leaders, women leaders.'

If Lunch Bucket comes out and tells the G7 that we are staying past 31 Aug, the Tollybon may see that as breaking their agreement, and attack the airport immediately. I think Xiden and his merry band of idiots are trying to play both sides here, and what he is going to get is a bloodbath in response. They don't really have a lot of leverage to use right now, and 6000 troops is not going to be able to hold that position long under a full scale attack, especially without the help of the helicopters we gifted to the neckbeards. Personally, I don't think Xiden cares if the whole contingent gets wiped out. The question is, will Idi Amin and Stolen Valor Milley tow the line, or will they tell Xiden to bugger off and have the military prepare to leave as scheduled?

Wait, rescue? The current Democrat talking points are that no American's are even stranded - let alone need RESCUED on time, and maybe they just don't want to come home to America (love that little twist they threw in). Schiff hasn't keep up with he messaging memo, or isn't willing to get trounced for it.

Oldest trick in the book. Schiff emerges from an Intel Committee meeting saying it's "unlikely" that Biden will meet the AUG 31 deadline. Why would he make a point of telling us that? It's the Demo's attempt to have it both ways---a win/win. If they DO meet the deadline they'll claim Biden has performed miracles; if they DON'T they'll say, "Joe tried so hard but as we told you it just wasn't possible."

The military should tell Xiden to keep his filthy nose out of it and go ahead with rescuing our people and destroying all of the equipment left there. Not to mention taking out as many terrorist thugs as possible. But with Austin and Milley in charge we know that won’t happen.

I wonder if the Biden administration will not give a number of how many Americans are left in Afghanistan as they know they cannot get them all out of the country. If they said there are 10,280 Americans left in the country, then if the final tally was 9,245 then we would know Biden failed in keeping his promise to get all Americans out of the country. It is imperative that they keep the number of Americans a secret. They have a good idea of how many there are.

I've not heard anyone question why so many non-military U.S. citizens were in Afghanistan to begin with, or why they were there. Good lord, I even heard a story about four U.S. college students (girls) who were in Afghanistan and their experience getting out. Why were they there, and what idiot parent would allow them to go? I'm hearing all these stories of U.S. families that are stranded in Afghanistan. Who takes the whole family to Afghanistan like it's some secure country?

The whole thing is an intelligence blunder of epic proportions, or plain incompetence of the current military leaders in the Biden administration. Rep. bull Schiff can't be trusted on anything either, but agree with #10, that he was simply laying the ground for a convenient excuse, rationalization or justification for Biden.

The U.S. Capitol Police officer who fatally shot Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6 during the insurrection was cleared Monday after an internal review concluded the action may have spared the lives of lawmakers and staffers who had barricaded themselves inside the building. "The officer’s actions were consistent with the officer’s training and (U.S. Capitol Police) policies," the agency's inquiry found. The agency declined to identify the officer. Federal prosecutors decided in April not to pursue criminal charges in the case. Some who supported the Capitol siege by rioters angry about the outcome of the presidential election cast Babbitt as a martyr to the conservative cause.
