The Taliban has delivered a chilling warning to foreign nationals and Afghans scrambling to leave the country, saying there will be 'consequences' if the US does not leave Afghanistan by August 31 and extends a deadline for the withdrawal of troops. Thousands of Afghans who worked with U.S. military forces remain camped around Kabul airport trying to find safety as the clock ticks down. American nationals are also waiting for their own flights home. President Joe Biden wants all Americans to be out by the end of the month, in order to meet the troop withdrawal agreement reached with the Taliban,

I agree with those Former Generals who say we should be TELLING the Afghans that we WILL stay until we have all of our People out and they had better not mess with us because there will be severe consequences if they do! Then send in the Seals and Special Forces and let them go to work getting those Folks out and to the Airport. Enough of expecting them to run the Gauntlet to get into the Gates at the Airport! Good grief, if France an get their People out it begs the question what are WE waiting for! Go Get Them!!

Any thought of overwhelming military action on Biden's part is folly. The Taliban hold all the cards. It won't be long until we hear that many Americans are being held in "safe keeping" and a hefty ransom will be levied. They watch the news. They know we're getting ready to spend $3.5 trillion on "infrastructure". If they had 1000 Americans, they could probably get it. Those planes that will bring our fellow citizens home will be filled with pallets of cash (again) on the way over to pick up our people. Then Joe will tell us what a success this has been.

President Joe Biden on Tuesday rejected pleas from G7 leaders to extend the Kabul evacuation and has insisted US troops will leave by August 31, after the Taliban issued a chilling warning to western forces who stay and banned Afghans from leaving. The move now gives the Biden administration just seven days to evacuate thousands of American citizens and local allies still stranded on the ground and fighting to escape the chaos and constant death threats. The US ramped up the airlift by evacuating 21,600 people in the last 24 hours, but they still don't know the exact number that still need to be flown out - and now time is

The House Freedom Caucus held a press briefing regarding Democrats’ wasteful spending plans. Amid the House’s return to the Capitol on Monday, members of the House Freedom Caucus laid out their perspective on both the bipartisan infrastructure bill and the $3.5 trillion budget. The group of Republicans slammed Democrats over their push for wasteful spending in both bills by saying further discussion needed to take place before they were passed. Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) pointed out instead of the House reconvening to address the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, they came back to discuss Socialist Democrat spending bills that would rack up the national debt.

The U.S. Capitol Police officer who fatally shot Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6 during the insurrection was cleared Monday after an internal review concluded the action may have spared the lives of lawmakers and staffers who had barricaded themselves inside the building. "The officer’s actions were consistent with the officer’s training and (U.S. Capitol Police) policies," the agency's inquiry found. The agency declined to identify the officer. Federal prosecutors decided in April not to pursue criminal charges in the case. Some who supported the Capitol siege by rioters angry about the outcome of the presidential election cast Babbitt as a martyr to the conservative cause.

And Biden, speaking at the White House, portrayed it as a huge victory even though it will be of limited practical value months after the vaccination received emergency approval.
