Memo: Military Threatens to Revoke Benefits
From Marines Who Decline COVID Vaccine

Marines will lose their pensions, tuition assistance, and access to the G.I. bill, along with other military benefits, if they refuse the COVID-19 vaccination, according to internal emails reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. An Aug. 18 email from Col. Teague Pastel, a commanding officer at the Marine Barracks in Washington, D.C., told colleagues that although "vaccines are still voluntary," the military believes "they will become mandatory in the near future." The penalties for refusing the coronavirus vaccination, Pastel wrote, should be in line with others for insubordination. Those penalties include "administration separation," a demerit in the Marine's personal file, as well as the forfeiture of various retirement and financial benefits.

Comments:

Take the death shot, or forfeit what you have served your entire life to obtain. How very communist of our military. How long will it take them to try this with social security and people's savings and 401ks?

I was proud to have been in the Army Infantry, but would be even prouder to have been a marine, the most elite of the fighters. But this demand is absurd, and I expect will cause a lot of despair and early retirement. It would have for me.

Now hear this, all Marines scheduled for re-up: If you are not committed to doing 20, DO NOT sign on for another enlistment with this threat hanging over your heads. Officers: If you are not committed to doing 20, RESIGN your commission effective immediately.

This is not the USMC I used to know and love. I have to say, this is all bullcrap, and the people behind it should have their behinds kicked. When it gets down to the Marines on this level, it's pretty much over. Every Marine should resist the shot; the smallest branch of the military will be even smaller.

So refuse and retire immediately. Collect pension. They gonna pull the pensions of those who've already retired and refuse? No - then retire now, before they are 'mandatory'. They weren't when you signed up. Sure, military might lose a few hundred, but that's acceptable to them. Gutting the military has been in the works for a while now.

Laws, #12? We don't need no stinking laws. They ignore the Constitution daily, so they couldn't care less about something like this. The commanding Marine general said just last week that no one was ordering his men to take this crap. I wonder what is going to happen now.

That is a violation of the military's agreement with their personnel when they joined. The threat is not legal. If they break the agreement, then there is no agreement, and the personnel do not have to come to work any longer. I know Democrats, joined by Republicans, do not follow contract law, or any other laws they don't like.

Well republican senators and congressmen/women...what say you? I have an idea, a "demarche." If DoD does what is stated FTA, then as a block...a unified republican caucus, hold up any legislation, judicial nominee, program, anything government initiative that requires their approval until this blatant bullying of our Armed Forces stops by their service heads. .Also, require if any service head or rogue senior officer or enlisted coerce/bully a junior with threats (R/R, NJP, Courts Marshal, adverse FIPREPs, Evals, etc) then the senior will then be subject to UCMJ and civil suit. Time to put up republicans. Support the troops you so often tell us you do.

This is the very reason the FDA approved Pfizer vaccine at least two years ahead of the normal time approval time span. It is against the law to force the military to take "experimental" medicine. But, it is legal to force a "approved" vaccine upon service members. You can't sue the Gov't except for gross misconduct. No judge will rule in your favor. Not much to do except to leave the service.

Facing the political fight of his life and sinking polls indicating he could lose in the Sept. 14 recall election, California Gov. Gavin Newsom is now plagued by rising concerns over alleged voter fraud after the Secretary of State's Office sent out mail ballots to 20 million voters. Earlier in the year, the state legislature passed a measure to send out mail ballots to every registered voter whether they asked for one or not. Newsom's opponents argue this was done as a way to protect him from losing, suggesting the only way he could win was through fraud.

The Democratic-led House on Tuesday authorized $3.5 trillion of spending in a party-line vote, as the national debt climbs to a record $29 trillion. The final vote was 220-212. Of the members voting, 96 lawmakers submitted proxy letters to allow them to cast their votes remotely under a system the House adopted at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. Using budget reconciliation allowed Democrats to bypass the filibuster in the Senate and push through the $3.5 trillion resolution without votes from Republicans in the 50-50 Senate. Democrats adopted the same strategy to pass the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act, which was the second largest stimulus bill in U.S. history.
