Joe Biden accused of 'America last' policy
as only 2,500 of 10-15K Americans

With evacuations in process for Afghan civilians in the wake of the Taliban takeover, it has now come to the limelight that a mere 2,500 Americans have been flown out of the country from Kabul over the last one week. US officials revealed that the total number of people evacuated from Afghanistan is 17,000. They also added that Washington is fighting against “time and space” to get people out of Afghanistan, but Twitter has exploded into an outrage over the relatively few numbers of Americans rescued while thousands still remain stranded in danger.

Comments:

Xiden said today that we have evacuated 30,000 people since last Saturday. That figure has to be as bogus as a three-dollar bill. I would bet that if they are saying 2500 Americans, the number is a small fraction of that in actuality.

Yes, I'd say that MALA (Make America Last Again) is the Biden/Democrat motto and plan for our country.

Allow me to be the devil's advocate today/ George W. Bush appealed for a 'coalition of the willing' to fight in Afghanistan against terrorism, Then once we got there, we essentially asked native Afghans to work against their own government - some would call that treason - and we promised that they would be protected for their cooperation. The same would apply to allied forces. Therefore, it would be fair to argue that we should extract natives, allies, and American civilians in equal proportions, at an equal pace. And once the handlers of the Delaware Dunce made the decision to run, they should have made it clear to us what the proper procedures were. (They also should have destroyed all the weapons, but that is a different story.) I say all of this after realizing that even though I try to follow the news, I had forgotten about the various allies who were participants in Afghanistan.

Democratic-led House authorizes $3.5 trillion

The Democratic-led House on Tuesday authorized $3.5 trillion of spending in a party-line vote, as the national debt climbs to a record $29 trillion. The final vote was 220-212. Of the members voting, 96 lawmakers submitted proxy letters to allow them to cast their votes remotely under a system the House adopted at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. Using budget reconciliation allowed Democrats to bypass the filibuster in the Senate and push through the $3.5 trillion resolution without votes from Republicans in the 50-50 Senate. Democrats adopted the same strategy to pass the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act, which was the second largest stimulus bill in U.S. history.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has admitted making his latest mistake in coronavirus guidance, this time over when he thinks the pandemic will come “under control” — apologizing by saying, “My bad.” The White House coronavirus czar had told NPR on Monday that if enough people get vaccinated, the US could “really get some good control over this” by the fall or winter of next year. But quizzed on it by CNN’s Anderson Cooper later the same day, Fauci — who has been under fire repeatedly for flip-flopping on his public advice from the early days of the pandemic — said he actually thinks that control will come even sooner.

Washington Democrats' efforts to pass their signature, $3.5 trillion spending package is in jeopardy of falling apart, as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, leader of the Democrat-controlled chamber, does not appear to have the votes this week to advance the measure awaiting in the Senate. The votes are set to be cast Monday and Tuesday, with House members returning for two days during their August recess to try to move forward the pending package. Pelosi can afford to lose only three votes in the narrowly divided chamber.

In the past day, about 16,000 people have been evacuated from Kabul, which is almost half of the 37,000 that were evacuated in a little over a week, according to the Pentagon. Deputy Director of the Joint Regional Operations, Maj. Gen. Hank Taylor, said that 28 military flights evacuated about 10,400 people and 61 coalition aircraft evacuated 5,900 people from Kabul in the past 24 hours, according to The Hill. Dulles International Airport, just outside Washington, D.C., received five flights with approximately 1,300 passengers in the past day, Taylor said.

Marines will lose their pensions, tuition assistance, and access to the G.I. bill, along with other military benefits, if they refuse the COVID-19 vaccination, according to internal emails reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. An Aug. 18 email from Col. Teague Pastel, a commanding officer at the Marine Barracks in Washington, D.C., told colleagues that although "vaccines are still voluntary," the military believes "they will become mandatory in the near future." The penalties for refusing the coronavirus vaccination, Pastel wrote, should be in line with others for insubordination. Those penalties include "administration separation," a demerit in the Marine's personal file, as well as the forfeiture of various retirement and financial benefits.

"Today, I am calling on every Virginia employer to require all eligible employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19," the former Virginia governor said in a statement Monday afternoon. The Pfizer and BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine became the first Monday morning to receive full FDA approval. The two-dose immunization was initially the first to receive emergency use authorization in December of 2020. The Biden administration, local governments, and some employers hope that the full approval means Americans who have, until now, been skeptical about receiving an unauthorized jab, will have their fears reduced and opt to receive the inoculation. The full approval is expected to lead to more businesses and institutions requiring vaccinations for employees and students.

The Biden administration was forced to close the Kabul airport as the chaotic, catastrophically planned evacuation of American citizens from Afghanistan is overwhelming state department employees with too much paperwork. There are thousands of people — mostly Afghan civilians who collaborated with the U.S. military — waiting at the airport to be rescued. According to the British military, seven Afghans have died at the airport from the heat and the crush of people. SIS has issued a warning to Americans looking to leave Afghanistan. This precipitated a warning from the U.S. embassy for Americans to avoid going to the airport. Does Biden expect people to walk home from Afghanistan?

The U.S. Capitol Police officer who fatally shot Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6 during the insurrection was cleared Monday after an internal review concluded the action may have spared the lives of lawmakers and staffers who had barricaded themselves inside the building. "The officer’s actions were consistent with the officer’s training and (U.S. Capitol Police) policies," the agency's inquiry found. The agency declined to identify the officer. Federal prosecutors decided in April not to pursue criminal charges in the case. Some who supported the Capitol siege by rioters angry about the outcome of the presidential election cast Babbitt as a martyr to the conservative cause.

Fifty-one percent of the respondents said Biden is not competent in his position as president. This is compared to only 49 percent who said he is. Additionally, the poll found that 52 percent of the respondents did not feel the president has been focused. The poll was taken during and after the fall of the now-Taliban-controlled Kabul, Afghanistan, when Biden botched the U.S. troops’ withdrawal from the country. With that, 53 percent of the respondents said they disagree with the way Biden withdrew the troops.

It was a welcome moment of good news for an administration battered by weeks of negative headlines, from spiking cases of COVID-19 to the collapse of the Afghan government and plunging poll numbers. And Biden, speaking at the White House, portrayed it as a huge victory even though it will be of limited practical value months after the vaccination received emergency approval.
