The United States Supreme Court on Friday blocked the reinstatement of the “Remain in Mexico” program, intervening just hours before President Joe Biden’s administration would have had to restart the policy.
Justice Samuel Alito, a George W. Bush nominee, in a one-page order stayed a ruling that was poised to go into effect on Saturday. That ruling would have forced the Biden administration to restart the Trump era program, formally known as the Migrant Policy Protocols (MPP).

Alito issued the order after the U.S. government filed an emergency motion with the nation’s top court. He said he was blocking the lower court ruling so that the full

All it takes is one amnesty-seeker coming through that border while they are dithering - not from Guatemale, but from Afghanistan - to get his Supreme Court blown to kingdom come...

Why would Alito block this? How long before the full review? Years?

Nine justices or nine hundred justices, we're never again going to get common-sense, patriotic rulings from this bunch of short, fat Penguins. My apologies to Penguins.

I don't think a few days to review this is cause for us to raise hell yet. I think they are temporarily staying until next week to review the particulars of the case.
I wouldn't be surprised if they screw us on this ultimately, but for now the stay seems pretty standard for something like this.

The SC is an abomination and a disgrace. You can't get 9 justices to come to work to save our country?

Alito's ruling will set the stage for a complete attack on Bidens regime of corruption. If the whole court opines and we win, it will shut down the treason.....IF we have any republicans left that love America. I believe Alito understands this.

No surprise here. The Supreme Joke of the United States loves to wipe its behind with the Constitution and save Democrats illegal policies to allow as many illegal aliens into the country as possible. The Supreme Woke of the United States is so predictable. If it hurts the US or protects a Democrat, that is how they will rule. Justice of us, Just-Us for them. I'm so tired of the lack of laws in this country.

Those who take the trouble to read the article will find a link to Justice Alito’s stay, in pdf:
JOSEPH R. BIDEN, JR., PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, ET AL., Applicants v. TEXAS, ET AL. O R D E R UPON CONSIDERATION of the application of counsel for the applicants, IT IS ORDERED that the injunction issued by the District Court is stayed until 11:59 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, August 24 so that the full Court can consider the application. You really miss a lot when you skim the headlines and maybe the intros and then come out with questions that have been answered.

When all justices vote, I predict the remain in mexico policy is rejected 5-4. This is a liberal supreme court.

#9, I'd say the Court votes however the leftist/globalist/elites tell them to vote because the CIA/NSA has all kinds of damning and/or embarrassing information on each of them.

What's there to review? It was put in place years ago, and it worked. Plus it upheld federal law against illegal entry into the U.S. It was already put in place. If the Supreme Court had a problem with it, why didn't they stop Trump from setting it in motion?

Well of course the program was largely dormant for 7 months before bonehead cancelled it. It was working as intended!

The Article is very poorly written whereby it's difficult to understand what who's doing what to whom.
Odds are that the SC is going to sustain the decision of the Distict Court and the 5th Circuit and thereby require the Biden Administrayion to reinstate President Trump's "Stay in Mexico" policy. The dispositive issue in this case appears to be whether the Biden Administration has changed Trump's policy in violation of the federal "Administrate Procedure Act" by failing the mandatory process. Both the Circuit Court and the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals decided the Biden Administration violated that Act.

This is a positive move. It means the entire Supreme Court will consider the matter, and may order the Biden administration to reinstate the Trump program. Alito is Constitutionalist who has a spine and is trying to get the Court to stand up for the Constitution, or force the Congress to enact meaningful immigration reform.
It remains to be seen whether Roberts will try to sidestep the decision-making, and merely deny certiorari, thereby affirming the anti-Biden rulings of the two lower courts, a weak approach for achieving the same end. Roberts seems perpetually intimidated, cowering for fear that the dems might expose his behavior--whatever it was--for which the Obama first began blackmailing him. No one seems to know whether the blackmail is over Roberts' illegally adopting his children or over an Epstein trip to Pedo Island for which the flight manifest once logged a passenger named "John Roberts".

If they rule for Biden the entire world could show up at the US borderline, claim asylum, and would have to be allowed to stay in the USA until their individual asylum case is disposed of some years in the future. I would wait until the court issues a written decision in a few days.
