The long concert career of singer Tony Bennett is finally finished after 70 years. Bennett’s son, Danny Bennett, his manager for more than 40 years, canceled his remaining tour dates on Thursday. He said on Friday that Bennett’s two recent dates with Lady Gaga at New York’s Radio City Music Hall would be his last. Earlier this year, Bennett’s family revealed that the 19-time Grammy-winner was diagnosed with dementia in 2016. The younger Bennett cited doctor’s orders as the reason, although acknowledging his father was still capable of performing at age 95. The move has been made to avoid any falls or other onstage mishaps,

On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Cuomo Primetime,” Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) said the Taliban is “hunting” those still in Afghanistan, and Congress hasn’t seen the Biden administration’s plan to leverage the safe passage of American citizens and allies in Afghanistan. Moulton added that because Congress doesn’t know the plan, “people who are left behind are trying to figure out what they do next. We don’t even know what to tell them.”

Last Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in Kabul, a suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest as American troops at Abbey Gate were processing entrants to Hamid Karzai International Airport. Nearly 200 people died at that horrific moment, including 13 U.S. service members.
It was a horrific massacre that didn’t need to happen. There is only one person to blame, and that is Joe Biden — not for his decision to leave Afghanistan, but instead his stubborn insistence on leaving the country on a specific date. It is a stubbornness rooted in negligence, not incompetence, a word often thrown around as reasoning for his failure at this moment.
Joe Biden was telling America in July that the Taliban weren’t going to take over Afghanistan, that no one could have known that was going to happen. He maintains that no one told him differently, a claim we’ve already shown was a lie as he received a cable in June from officials in the State Department indicating that there was a likelihood that the Taliban would take over quickly once the U.S. pulled out at the end of August.
But it turns out that Biden was playing even more games behind the scenes, and something different was going on than what he was telling Americans to our faces.

I have seen enough videos and read about enough officer-civilian interactions to know that the act of subduing a lethal threat requires several rounds.
If an intruder entered my home and threatened my wife and child, I would shoot until I was able to ensure the target was immobilized.
As to the first statement, there are plenty of examples of police officers firing multiple shots at a suspected threat. In the past year, the American public has been thoroughly able to parse through the shootings of criminals like Breonna Taylor and Antonio Brown, to name just two examples.

Tuesday, Biden National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan did not rule out providing aid to the Taliban following the United States’ withdrawal out of Afghanistan.

He spoke about how they were now going to be setting up diplomatic operations in Doha, Qatar rather than Kabul. He claimed a new “diplomatic mission” had begun.
Blinken then claimed a new international consensus and the U.S. would hold the Taliban accountable to allow freedom of movement for people to leave. We didn’t even do that by the airport for Americans when we had troops there when they were right outside the gates. How are we going to guarantee anything without troops there?
