Two people have been charged in the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Officer Ella French who was killed during a traffic stop in West Englewood Saturday night. Her partner remains in the hospital after being shot. Emonte Morgan, 21, is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, according to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Eric Morgan, 22, is charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, and obstruction of justice, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office said.

The daily question surveyed 5,219 U.S. adults on August 5 and asked, “Have you lost any friendships because of differences in opinion related to the COVID-19 pandemic?”
Twenty percent of respondents said they have, 68 percent said they have not, and 11 percent indicated they remain unsure.
