Pete Buttigieg said Sunday that he expects the Senate to pass the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill within hours as the upper chamber convened for another weekend session to advance the package.'Well, the state of play looks good,' the Transportation secretary told Fox News Sunday guest host Bret Baier. 'The Senate is working through this amendment process.''There's still a lot of procedure to be gotten through, but we are within days possibly, within hours of seeing this historic legislation that's going to get us better roads and bridges, better ports and airports, a better future for our economy and creating millions of jobs,' Buttigieg said.

The roads and stuff are all great and would have been done during Trump if it weren't for Democrats blocking everything. Unfortunately, the bill is full of other goodies like per mile tax an mandatory breathalyzer in cars. Unless removed, these goodies should cause the bill to fail!

"Several GOP senators oppose it!"
It should be ALL GOP oppose it. And they think we should support them! They're so busy bending across the aisle, they can't see straight.

I read the lobbyists spent $450 million to get this deal done. A Republican Senator costs about $100K.

It appears that my senator, Capito of WV, is supporting it. Assuming no political chicanery in the works, I am very disappointed in her and will not forget. She has been pushing to get into the good old boys club ever since she was elected, so now she has allied herself with the likes of Romney. Sad.

Mitch "Multiuseless" McConnell enjoys playing footsie with Chuck Schumer. They've been at it for years.
Mitch enjoys the fun, Chuck enjoys the wins. Time for Mitch to write another letter asking for campaign contributions to stop the madness. Footsie playing begins soon and Chuck is already smiling while Mitch leads the RINO stampede declaring win-win!

Virtually every legislative session passes a "roads and bridges" funding bill and NOTHING is done to improve REAL infrastructure. Then the next year they are grabbing for more taxpayer monies to stuff in their supporters' pockets.
WHY WHY WHY do certain Repubs feel they must deliver this to Biden? news reports keep saying Biden is about to get this most important legislation. It is ALL for the Left. Stupid idiotic Repubs. Trillions::: it is sick.

Mrs. Buttplug nauseates me. I hope Haggerty sticks to his guns and talks the others into voting against this "historically" nauseating bill.

Pete Buttigieg could not get the potholes fixed in his town while Mayor. I believe he will do no better as Transportation Secretary spending that $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure money.

Remember Obama's stimulus bill in 2009? According to investment analyst Rutledge Capital, "In spite of all the talk we have seen about shovel ready projects, not much of the money has actually made its way into the economy yet..." Apparently most of it went to left-wing social programs and not much to actual road and bridge repair. Here we go again....

Not a Republican, anymore.
They get together, see who's up for reelection, who's 'safe', then divie up their botes to pass what the Democrats want.
Just another step closer to war.
