Florida has placed Ben & Jerry's parent company Unilever on its list of 'scrutinized companies' after the ice cream maker's decision to end sales in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made the announcement Tuesday after he directed the state's board of administrators to place the company on the list, which is made up of companies that participate in boycotts of Israel or limit commercial activities with the Jewish state.
The designation means Unilever has 90 days to force Ben & Jerry's to reverse its boycott or become

It’s generally a good business practice to accommodate your customers.
Is Unilever paying attention?

The government should not be interfering with private business matters, no matter how lofty they think the reasoning is. Thats part of how we ended up in this "managed economy" and the Biden communists controlling twitter and FB.

The State of Florida has the right to choose who they want to do business with. Choosing not to do business with anti semites is the right thing to do.

Governor DeSantis ... you do realize don't you that you're acting like a Democrat ???
Ben and Jerry can sell ice cream. That's what they do. If they don't like Jews maybe Jews won't buy their stuff.

And now Food Network is running a new show which features... wait for it Ben & Jerry's ice cream... I already written the network and asked if they were anti-muslim would they still get their own show? I still haven't received am answerer and don't expect one... another network to boycott I guess.

Sorry. I'm with DeSantos and Gov Abbott here in Texas in this one.
B&J's policy is discriminatory against the Jewish people in Israel. If B&J and their parent company, Unilever, want to play that BDS game, then they should be prepared to pay the consequences. And if that means that Unilver cannot sell its products (think everything from Suave shampoo to Heilmanns Mayo) in Florida and Texas, well, that's the choice they made for letting the doofuses at Ben & Jerry's play dangerous games with the corporate reputation.
You'd think that some of the adults at Unilever Corporate will get "woke" (as in wake-up) pretty soon once they realize millions of dollars of profits are going poof in two of the largest markets in the USA.

The politics started with Ben and Jerry. DeSantis is returning Ben and Jerry's serve and telling them to go pound sand.
I'm all for playing hardball with the haters on the Left..

I like this bold move. Texas and Florida have now joined 35 states in lawsuits against Ben & Jerry’s hateful move. These take awhile so that is why I guess B&J’s is still on my Texas’ grocery store freezer shelves.
I realize many conservatives have mixed feelings about boycotts in general. I do think where Israel is concerned it is important we not let this pass without response.
Governor DeSantis has now gone one step further. He has really drawn a line in the sand of 90 days for Unilever to give this REAL serious consideration. I hope they change their minds quickly - for their own sake mostly!

Bravo Gov. DeSantis. I am as pro free market as the next person but we need to fight back and while nobody fights back like Trump, DeSantis does not suffer foolishness. The C Suites of these companies are full of indoctrinated woke morons and this could easily spread to other Unilever brands. The want to live by politics? They can die by them too. Best to make an example out of them and nip this in the bud.

Yep, it's time to stop playing by the "nice" Marques of Queensbury rules when dealing with leftists, woke, Democrats, and media whores. Play their stinkin' game against them. Of course they'll squeal and complain. So did the neighborhood bully when we were kids -- anytime someone tried his tricks against him, he'd scamper under his momma's skirt and cry "Wah, wah, wah, they're being mean to me."
Which proves it worked.
