The truly frightening thing is the possible lack of maintenance crews and technicians to support these complicated planes. Not having a pilot or copilot is the obvious problem but it’s the dozens of support people required to service these aircraft that is most troubling. Most articles focus on a lack of air crews but it’s the ground crews who are as equally important. Also concerning is the fact that Biden’s Civil Rights head, Kristan Clark, is more concerned with having “diverse” air crews rather than the best people regardless of race.

Air travel will be a bumpy ride for a while. Just as soon as we get 10 million+ Americans off their unemployment bennies, eviction freebies, and stimulus goodies and get them off their dead behinds and working again. But, the pilot shortage will persist longer. Too many of the more senior pilots took early retirement last summer that was blindly offered by the airlines. Big big mistake to offer the captains and first officers these generous retirement packages. Very short-sighted. Now we must live with it. The young guys and gals currently flying tours over the Grand Canyon and cargo buckets can be moved up soon and trained to fly Airbuses and Boeing jets. Good luck guys and gals.

Brooklyn-based “rockstar butcher” Fleisher’s has been forced to close its stores because dozens of workers reportedly walked off the job after the CEO removed Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ pride signs that employees had put in the storefront windows. The company’s website says all of its locations, its two stores in New York City and two others in Connecticut, are “temporarily closed.” A notice at Fleisher’s Upper East Side shop said the store won’t reopen until at least the end of August. The beef between workers and management began last month, when Rob Rosania, a leading investor in the butcher, received a text from a pal

The redheaded royal can be seen attempting to juggle in the background of Meghan Markle’s 40th birthday video with Melissa McCarthy, during which they promote the Duchess of Sussex’s new philanthropic venture with her and Harry’s foundation, Archewell. At first, Harry, 36, stumbles with the balls and appears to fall over in the backyard of the couple’s California home. But then, he succeeds in his attempt at clownery and runs off the screen in excitement. Neither Markle nor McCarthy, 50, can contain their laughter over Harry’s silliness.

A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order on Texas Tuesday, blocking Gov. Judge Kathleen Cardone, a Bush appointee to the bench, said Texas was interfering with the way the federal government wanted to carry out its immigration policy. The two-page ruling is a victory for President Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, giving them a continued free hand in catching and releasing tens of thousands of illegal immigrants each month.
