A wanted Brooklyn sex attacker was arrested at a storage facility where he’d been staying after using his victim’s credit card there, police said Monday. Adrian Quarless, 37, was nabbed Friday morning at the CubeSmart Self Storage on Caton Place near Prospect Park and was charged with sex abuse, robbery and grand larceny. He is being held on $50,000 bail. Same stuff, different day. Why bother to have a government that refuses to perform its basic functions? Especially one run by people who claim to protect women's rights, yet leave them completely vulnerable to attack by repeat criminals?

Remember the big lie, "three strikes and you're out?" All the politicians need to do is make the claim and the people are mollified. But it's expensive to keep criminals in prison and it's mean to send the unfixable into exile. FTA: "Quarless has 13 priors arrests — 11 for grand larceny, plus one each for robbery and possession of stolen property."

A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order on Texas Tuesday, blocking Gov. Greg Abbott’s latest get-tough border policy aimed at preventing illegal immigrants from dispersing throughout his state. Judge Kathleen Cardone, a Bush appointee to the bench, said Texas was interfering with the way the federal government wanted to carry out its immigration policy. The two-page ruling is a victory for President Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, giving them a continued free hand in catching and releasing tens of thousands of illegal immigrants each month. Mr. Abbott had said he feared the migrants were spurring a COVID surge, and he flexed state powers

Wisconsin GOP Sen. Ron Johnson told a group of constituents he believes the FBI had advanced knowledge of the Jan. 6th riot but failed to act–even as he ripped a select committee probing the events as a 'total sham.' During his remarks, he repeatedly downplayed the actions of the mob that took part in the Capitol riot, saying there were 'a couple hundred really bad actors' among thousands he defended. 'By and large those folks were peaceful protesters,' said Johnson, days after four police officers testified about battling crowd members outside the Capitol. He said most 'wouldn't even consider breaking the law.'
