TOKYO — Laurel Hubbard, a transgender weightlifter from New Zealand, was knocked out of the women’s 87+ kilogram competition early after failing on all three of her attempts. Hubbard failed on her first attempt to get 120kg above her head, bailing out early. On her second attempt at 125kg, she was able to get the weight up and pumped her fist after in satisfaction, however judges ruled it a “no lift.” She returned quickly for another attempt at 125kg only to fail to stand up with the weight above her head. Hubbard was the only one of the 13 finalists to not complete at least one lift.

What is wrong with the IOC. Get a load of its “medical director”: "What's really important to remember is that trans women are women,” said Richard Budgett, director of the IOC’s medical and scientific department. “And so, in the spirit of inclusion in sport, if at all possible, they should be included in sport. “It's only where there's evidence of real concern — that that would lead to a disproportionate performance advantage for those individuals — should any rules and regulations come in to change that eligibility,” Budgett said. “The IOC is determined to increase inclusion in sport as one of the fundamentals, but at the same time our highest, highest priority is fairness." The challenge for the IOC is determining that “fairness.” What Barbara Streisand! Blodgett believes that this bloater and others like him are “really women”? No way. In addition, Lauren/Laurel was 34 and a failure in male competitions when he “transitioned” and tried to join the girls. He is a creepy cheat.

WHY does a transgender male get to be called a she or a her? HE does not have ovaries. HE never menstruated. HE has never ever had PMS. So sick and tired of these MEN who have "transgendered" into a female. Why does HE have to be called a female? Will someone, say a news person, call HIM a him and not attach feminine qualities? Hum?

With my tin foil hat firmly in place: I think he was paid to take a dive. The main argument against men competing as women as been that with their superior body strength they would walk away with all the trophies and medals. This way, the "trans" crowd can point out that is not the case. Evil never sleeps.

He could not compete against men. Now it turns out he cannot compete against women either. His problem has nothing to do with being a woman. His problem has everything to do with not having any drive to succeed. He thought he would have an easier time against women so he became one. He was wrong. He might seriously want to consider the direction he has taken with his life. Its not working.

As of this writing, Taliban forces have just entered Kabul, Afghanistan, the terrorist group’s leaders say that no force will be used to take the city, and both Taliban and Afghanistan government leaders say they’re working to negotiate a peaceful transfer of power to a “transitional government.” US Embassy staffers are being ferried from the Embassy to safety via Chinook helicopter after destroying records so that when the Embassy itself soon falls/is abandoned the Taliban won’t obtain information that could be used to hurt Americans or American interests. Instead of a troop withdrawal, 5,000 members of the United States Military are now headed to Afghanistan to oversee our retreat.

KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghanistan’s embattled president left the country Sunday, joining his fellow citizens and foreigners in a stampede fleeing the advancing Taliban and signaling the end of a 20-year Western experiment aimed at remaking Afghanistan. The Taliban, which for hours had been in the outskirts of Kabul, announced soon after they would move further into a city gripped by panic throughout the day as helicopters raced overhead to evacuate personnel from the U.S. Embassy. Smoke rose near the compound as staff destroyed important documents. Several other Western missions also prepared to pull their people out. Afghan citizens face executions, forced marriages and other possible war crimes as the Taliban sweeps across the country, wrestling control from ineffective government forces as the U.S. troop withdrawal nears, according to U.S. officials and watchdog groups. The militants have seized territory at an alarming rate while Afghan government troops and their allied militias fail to put up an effective resistance – surrendering at times without even putting up a fight. The U.S. embassy in Kabul said Wednesday that it was receiving reports that Taliban members were executing surrendering Afghan troops and unlawfully detaining some members of the government, including military leaders, provincial officials and police officers.

What will it take for Joe Biden to admit he is disastrously wrong about Afghanistan? The US leader struck a defiant pose last week. Sounding like a slightly desperate Olympics coach, he told Afghans it was their country. If they want it, they have to fight for it. In American politics-speak, this is called tough love. Without the love. Biden has more hands-on foreign policy experience than any president since George HW Bush. That doesn’t mean he knows what he’s doing. Opinion polls suggest his abrupt Afghan withdrawal has majority public support. That doesn’t mean Americans will remain indifferent as the carnage and misery mount.
