My son was attacked by a pit bull when he was seven. It got his face and arm. He's now a grown man and his beard covers the facial scar and the one on his arm has really faded. This little guy will be fine. His parents should be so proud.

Nothing about the Owners of the Dog! Why did this happen? I rarely remember hearing of a German Shepherd attacking anyone. But, I guess it could happen. I would think the Owners were sued and the Dog was put down. So happy that this Brave Little Boy was helped by caring Doctors for free. Gives one hope that this is what we would expect to happen in this Great Country and it did. Kudos to the Parents who obviously raised their children right!

#8, my brother was attacked and bitten by a German Shepherd when he was about 10 years old. It was back in the early 1960’s before we became such a litigious society. To this day, none of us wants to get anywhere near that breed.

David Goldman (also known as “Spengler”) summarizes with approval the analysis of Chinese professor Jin Canrong. The professor’s thesis is this: [T]he United States has issued a massive amount of excess currency due to the epidemic, and the amount of currency issuance far exceeds the normal needs of economic development, so there is a situation in which more currency is issued but production cannot be restored. Inflation in the United States is rising, which will put a lot of pressure on the U.S. finances. The U.S. federal debt is approaching $30 trillion. What does this imply?

President Joe Biden confirmed Friday that Americans should expect more coronavirus-related restrictions, as the Delta variant of the virus continues to spread. Biden spoke about more restrictions on Americans after CBS reporter Weijia Jiang asked him if he expected more restrictions as the virus spreads across the country. “In all probability,” he replied as he left the White House for a weekend trip to Camp David. Biden also signaled optimism that more Americans were getting vaccinated, citing “almost a million” people getting their shots on Thursday.

You’d be forgiven for forgetting they existed, but the fugitive Texas Democrats, who fled their state to stop the passage of a mundane voting integrity bill, are still hanging out in Washington, DC. Where exactly, I’m not sure, but I like to imagine them sleeping on cots and eating ramen noodles every night while they mutter obscenities about Gov. Greg Abbott to each other. That’s when they aren’t spreading COVID to everyone, of course. There was a sighting a few days ago in which some of them appeared with Al Sharpton at the MLK memorial. You know, because nothing stirs support in Texas like latching onto a notorious, big-city race grifter

You know you’ve screwed up badly as a spokesman when you have to walk back something stupid you said not once but twice. Once: And twice: Karine Jean-Pierre is the heir apparent to Jen Psaki as press secretary but Biden must be nervous watching her stumble around on a subject as touchy as this one. Imagine Dems trying to compete in the midterms after blue-state governors have ordered a new round of business closures, with all the economic and psychological wreckage that would entail, at a moment when every pharmacy chain in the country is overflowing with vaccines. Gov. Greg Abbott (R) took executive action on Thursday, signing an order barring cities from implementing mask and vaccine requirements; this move is part of the administration’s effort to “promote statewide uniformity and certainty” in the Lone Star State’s coronavirus response. The order states “no governmental entity, including a county, city, school district, and public health authority, and no governmental official may require any person to wear a face covering or to mandate that another person wear a face covering,” with limited exceptions. “No governmental entity can compel any individual to receive a COVID-19 vaccine administered under an emergency use authorization,” the order continues, barring

Americans expect more inflaton this year and remain uneasy about the direction of the economy, the University of Michigan’s survey of consumers showed Friday. Expect4ed inflation over the next year rose to 4.7 percent from 4.2 percent in June. That’s the highest level in over a decade. At least for now, however, Americans still believe that inflation will remain tame over the long term. Expected inflation over the next five years is just 2.8 percent, down from 3 percent in May. “While most consumers still expect inflation to be transitory, there is growing evidence that an inflation storm is likely to develop on the not too distant horizon.

Here we go again with Democrats talking mandated masks and possible lockdowns. Republicans rallied against the mask mandate and the potential arrest threat in the House. That’s clearly bringing them together and is a rallying point against the Democrats. But meanwhile, the Democrats appear to be all messed up. Politico reported that Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) wouldn’t be canceling on her plans for the summer recess, even if Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) keeps folks in session in August, despite the big bills on infrastructure and budget reconciliation coming up in the Senate. House Republicans launched an effort to rein in Big Tech’s growing tyranny with an onslaught of new bills in a massive push to fight back against online censorship. Republicans in the House Energy and Commerce Committee unveiled a package of 32 bills to hold Big Tech accountable by reforming Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, protecting children and improving transparency, among other goals. “Big Tech has broken our trust that they can be good and responsible stewards of their platforms,” said Ranking Member Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA). The state of Georgia has filed a motion to dismiss the Department of Justice (DOJ) lawsuit aimed at its new, much-maligned election integrity law, S.B. 202, calling the legal action “a politicized intrusion into the State of Georgia’s constitutional authority to regulate the ‘time, place, and manner’ of its election.” Georgia secretary of state Brad Raffensperger concurred, saying in a Friday interview with National Review that “the left” had an “agenda” that they were going to push regardless of what the state’s legislature did. “No matter what was passed, they were going to be against it and the DOJ just, in effect parroted

Republican staffers defied Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday evening by playing beer pong (with water) in a Capitol office hallway, smoking cigars, and socializing — without masks, courting arrest by Capitol Police. As Breitbart News reported Thursday, Pelosi ordered Capitol Police to arrest any staff and visitors who refused to comply with new mask mandates, which she imposed earlier in the week, regardless of vaccination status. She ordered the Capitol Police to report members of Congress who refused to comply to the House Sergeant at Arms for disciplinary action. In response, several GOP members of Congress defied Pelosi’s orders by allowing staff to work without masks, or remotely. But

The Times op-ed, titled “There Is No Good Reason You Should Have to Be a Citizen to Vote” and authored by Atossa Araxia Abrahamian, contends that U.S. elections should be opened to those of voting-age in the nation’s 15 million-strong legal immigrant population who arrived on temporary visas or green cards but do not have American citizenship. Democrats, the op-ed admits, “are likely to be the biggest beneficiaries of this change,” though Abrahamian claims Republicans “might be induced

Now, Walensky is saying that if we all put on a face diaper and get the jab, we can defeat the Delta variant in a few weeks: “We can halt the chain of transmission,” Walensky told “CBS This Morning” on Wednesday. “We can do something if we unify together, if we get people vaccinated who are not yet vaccinated, if we mask in the interim, we can

Provo, Utah–As Mindy Greene spent another day in the COVID intensive care unit, listening to the whirring machines that now breathed for her 42-year-old husband, Russ, she opened her phone and tapped out a message. People who do not comply with Covid-19 pandemic restrictions are mostly male, more extroverted and more likely to put their own self-interests above those of others, suggests a new study of behaviours internationally. University of Sydney researchers assessed behaviours and attitudes towards Covid regulations in 1,575 people in Australia, Canada, the UK, and the US between April and May last year, during the first wave of the pandemic. Their study, published in the journal Plos One, found that about 10% of people reported being non-compliant with restrictions. These ind
