TikTok star Anthony Barajas has died in hospital, five days after he was shot in the head while on a first date at a California movie theater. The Corona Police Department confirmed the 19-year-old succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning, saying in a statement that they 'extend their condolences to his family and friends'. Barajas was at a late-night screening of The Forever Purge with Rylee Goodrich, 18, at The Regal Edwards Theatre in Corona on Monday when they were both gunned down. Goodrich, who was also struck in the head, died at the scene. Barajas was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

#6 - So many people see the spiritual battle engulfing us and turn away. They are unprepared and frightened. Our secularized society has no context in which to think about these events, which are quickly overshadowed by the next atrocity. Post-traumatic syndrome from the Culture War is the real epidemic of our times. Our true hope, as always, is in God. Christ's most repeated instruction to His followers is, "Be not afraid," because Satan's greatest weapon is fear. Jesus taught faith in the Goodness of the Father and residing in the Peace of the Holy Spirit. I believe that The Father is not done with America. He graced our founding with good and strong men. Those men still walk with us. Among my daily prayers is a request for another Great Awakening and beg the Holy Spirit to renew the hearts of our people. Even our masters in the imperial city of D.C. recognize the power of God. That is why casinos and massage parlors can be open, but religious observance is restricted or physical attendance forbidden. Where ever possible, we must guide conversations about current events towards talking about God's Plan for humanity. We must learn how to explain that the overwhelming issues of the day are rooted in our abandonment of God. Before we can win back our country, we must win back the souls of our people. AMDG then MAGA

The girl may have been the original target. This was their first date. She posted photos of herself on the internet. No mention of whether the shooter was a previous boyfriend or just an admirer who couldn’t take her being with another (more attractive) man. Stalker? Would have explained his being there.

I can not imagine their parent's grief. You raise your babies up to adulthood and then some piece of filth in a moment of incomprehensible, pointless violence takes them away from you. All your hopes and dreams, ashes as you bury your baby. I hope these grieving families receive some modicum of justice though there is nothing this side of the grave that would satisfy me as a momma.

In the past three years, the bodies of 32 infants have been recovered from the site by the waste-pickers who work there. Looking at the high rate of infanticide in Senegal, it seems the main reasons for it are shame about pregnancy outside marriage and a loss of traditional support for young women. Religious conservatism, economic hardship and a lack of access to contraception and sex education in Senegal are leaving many women I talk to feeling isolated.
