Lawsuit citing baby-powder cancer

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump announced this week he filed a lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson, alleging the company targeted Black women with its sales of baby powder that allegedly caused cancer. Representing the National Council of Negro Women, Mr. Crump said the company’s talcum-based baby powder has links to ovarian cancer and it was specifically marketed to Black women. “It is about the lives of our grandmothers, our mothers, our sisters, our daughters, our nieces and our wives and how they were cynically targeted by Johnson & Johnson, this multi-billion dollar corporation,” Mr. Crump, best known for representing the family of George Floyd,

Comments:

Baby power is WHITE, so by definition it is racist and must be made to pay reparations. And how dare a company market a product to bLACK people. And if they did not market to bLACK people, that also would be a sign of systemic racism.

FTA: Decades of testing and medical analysis have confirmed the products are safe, don’t contain asbestos and do not cause cancer, the company noted. So, now I buy a generic that has the same ingredients but wouldn't be the money bags target of a greedy class action lawsuit. Racially motivated, at that.

Jesus Christ, please help me to understand people who see hate and division in everything. Generations of white babies were diapered up after having a sprinkle of talcum powder. Baby cornstarch became a thing in the 1970s, I believe. Maybe black people are so unhealthy because a lot of them don't take very good care of themselves. That would require taking a good look at themselves and thinking of ways to live healthier lives.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines tolerance as "the ability or willingness to tolerate something, in particular the existence of opinions or behavior that one does not necessarily agree with. A recent poll by the Survey Center on American Life at the American Enterprise Institute found that Democrats are twice as likely as Republicans to report ending a friendship over a political disagreement (20% versus 10%). Liberals are also "far more likely than conservatives are to say they are no longer friends with someone due to political differences" (28% versus 10%).
