Nancy Pelosi used to point her angry finger at Donald Trump, but she leaves him for dust when it comes to busting norms, dividing Congress and causing mayhem. If anyone is to blame for the hyper-partisanship in Washington these days, it’s the spiteful House speaker. She behaves more like a Mafia don waging a gang war than a dignified, fair and honest presiding officer, which is what the speaker’s role requires. Pelosi abuses her power in ways that once were unthinkable. Her speakership has been the antithesis of Lincoln’s entreaty to “the better angels of our nature.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical advisor to the Biden administration, has defended the National Institute of Health's decision to give $600,000 to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in 2014 for research into whether bat coronaviruses could be transmitted to humans. In Sunday's episode of CNN's 'State of the Union,' Fauci, the director of the NIH's Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told host Jake Tapper that it would be 'negligent' not to fund the research - though some have argued it could have led to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in 2019. Fauci and Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul feuded over the subject last week, when Paul questioned Fauci

For many decades, the quadrennial Olympic games were grand moments of patriotism. (snip) Of late, though, our athletes are no longer amateurs; the Soviets are gone; we worship at the Chinese shrine; the Olympics are on every two years and broadcast 24/7, making for complete over-saturation; and too many of our Olympic athletes hate the country they’re representing. For that reason, those Americans who love their country the most have cared the least when Americans have fallen flat in Tokyo.

Joe Biden returned to the White House Sunday and, as usual, had the boot-licking media waiting for him.
As he approached the press area, a reporter asked him about his opinion on reconciliation and amnesty.
Biden said it “remains to be seen” if a pathway to citizenship will be included in the Democrats’ forthcoming reconciliation package.

DC Police Officer Daniel Hodges during a House hearing regarding January 6 on Tuesday repeatedly referred to pro-Trump insurrectionists who stormed the US Capitol as "terrorists."
Hodges during his testimony pointed to the hypocrisy of the rioters carrying symbols of support for law enforcement as officers were simultaneously and brutally assaulted.

Between his bumbling about during a CNN town hall last week and his over the weekend episode where he seemingly says “my butt’s been wiped,” the condition of President Biden’s mental faculties had drawn increased scrutiny in recent days. And during an appearance on Monday’s Special Report, Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume did what the liberal media refused to do and called it out, noting “these are signs of senility.”“You know, Brit, the President obviously receives some pretty good press overall from the media,” anchor Bret Baier prefaced as he broached the subject. “But, there have been a couple answers

Over the weekend during a speech with New York State assembly member Rebecca Seawright, Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer hammered Trump supporters, wondering how they could possibly vote for such a “vile man.”“You probably ask yourself the same question I ask myself: How could 74 million people vote for such a despicable human being as Donald Trump,” Schumer said. “He is a vile man. He is dishonest. He is divisive — That’s what he loves to do, just divide people.”Schumer continued, “He’s a racist and he always appeals to the dark side

The Dallas Democratic Party is asking Texans for donations of Dr. Pepper, hair spray, salsa and other goods to send in care packages to lawmakers who fled the Lone Star State to Washington, D.C., in order to stymie a vote on an elections bill. “Our Dems in DC said they’d appreciate care packages from home. Before 5pm Tues, we’re collecting Dr. Pepper, salsa, hard candy, hairspray, travel toiletries, hand sanitizers, sewing kits, first aid, and/ or $ to pay shipping,” the Dallas Democrats tweeted Saturday. Responses to the tweet have not all been supportive of the lawmakers’ stunt. “So the $600K Beto raised for them & their daily per diem

After Team USA lost its Olympic opener to France, 83-76, on Sunday, ESPN analyst Tim Legler posited that perhaps this result could be a "good thing" for the Americans -- that it could serve as a "wake-up call" as they move forward in their quest for a fourth straight gold medal. Funny thing about that: Gregg Popovich and Jayson Tatum said the same thing after the U.S. lost to Nigeria two weeks ago in Las Vegas. (Snip) It's difficult to fully believe the Americans, who are the most talented team in the international world by a mile, are truly putting their

It's not 11 million, it's more like 45 million. I applaud them if they're slow-walking the thing, but if past is precedent, this government will find a way to further undermine the nation. Maybe a blanket citizenship deal now and process the paperwork later in the name of compassion, and the republic will have finally run its course.
