A 28-year-old man in Alabama who believed COVID-19 was a “hoax” has died from the virus—and now his family is urging people to get the vaccine.
Curt Carpenter lost his battle with the bug after spending 51 days in the intensive care unit at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, the Montgomery Advertiser reported. “I know that if Curt had survived, he would have made sure everyone knew how serious this disease is, and how important the vaccine is,” his mom, Christy Carpenter, told the newspaper.(Snip)
“This is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” Walensky said earlier this month.

OP, bingo.
This and other stories are indeed sad, but there seems to be a one-sided news coverage by the media. Also, is there any more to the story? Just curious.

FTA: "She said Curt was overweight but had no other pre-existing conditions that would put him at increased risk for a serious case of the virus." Overweight appears to be putting it mildly. Why do hospitals let people die instead of treating them with hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin?

# 2 Because there is no money to be made from it and it takes away from the fear and panic agenda.

Doesn’t say is he was treated early or at all with hydroxychloroquine or imervectin, if he had other health issues, or if his drs killed him with some other treatment approach. Not many believe the virus is a "hoax", but many believe the treatment can be cheap and effective, not requiring an experimental "shot".

COVID itself is not a hoax but it has spawned many hoaxes confusing the matter. It's as deadly as a bad flu no more no less. However, it is highly contagious and had the potential to overwhelm the system. Sure a 15 day shutdown made sense but not 15 months of assured self destruction. Mask on mask off, Hydroxychloroquine suppression, sticking the infected in nursing homes, calling DeSantis DeathSantis despite rock solid results. Any wonder why people believe absolutely nothing coming from their government?

Personally, I believe the virus is real, but the pandemic is the hoax. It is a treatable disease and I was never afraid of it anyway because I know about the lysine / arginine ratio for preventing viruses. (Look that up. It will explain a lot about why some people get sick and others don't.)
I knew people who got the virus and weren't treated until they needed ventilators. They're letting people die for politics.

The vaccine is the real hoax.

How do we know this unfortunate soul died from “Covid” to begin with? Did they determine this through a test? Which one? If it was PCR, how many cycles? Other than being overweight, what other issues did he have? Heart/circulatory issues (he was overweight). What were his symptoms? Treatments?
They put this young man on a ventilator. One of the worst things you could do to a Covid patient.
Another victim of the hoax.

If he believes it was a hoax he was a moron and an idiot. That’s one issue and it has nothing to do with intelligent people taking all information available to them into account before making serous healthcare decisions. These stories are snowballing and me thinks there is no coincidence. Republican Politicians are going along with this and it won’t stop now.

Did they bother to treat him or just put him on a ventilator?

Prove Covid was the cause of death. What secondary health condition did he have?

This story is a made-up hoax. Go peddle your vaccine elsewhere.

FTA: “Curt thought COVID was a hoax and did not take it seriously, until he could not breathe without the oxygen. The same day he was put on the ventilator, he told us, ‘This is not a hoax, this is real,'” Christy said."
Most people spending 51 days in an ICU aren't coming out on their feet, regardless of why you went in. The article didn't say but if he had been on a ventilator for the majority of his stay in ICU, he would first have been intubated and the general guidelines advocate removing the endotracheal tube and undergoing a tracheostomy after 10 days of intubation. The ET tube has a balloon on the lower end of the tube that is inflated to help secure the tube in place in place and ensure that the Oxygen and air mixture is inflating the lungs, rather than coming out from around the tube and/or inflating the stomach. Not only can a patient not speak when intubated, it can erode the inner lining of the trachea within two weeks, creating additional problems. That the young man died is certainly tragic but my immediate thought is that someone is trying to use his death to push an agenda and I doubt if it is the family's idea to do so.

It is not a hoax. You can get vaccinated or not. That should be up to the person, not forced on them.
A healthy skepticism is always good, but should not be dismissed.

Another in a series of articles about vaccine skeptics who died, framed as if they paid the piper. On the other hand, articles are rare indeed about cases where loudly pro-vaccine people have died or suffered horrible side effects after taking the gene therapy, and even articles generally describing these things are discredited as misinformation. Weird, eh?
