Families were split up, eating and
laying in the Memphis restaurant.
Then there were gunshots.

It was supposed to be a fun Saturday out of town. By the time the family accounted for its 18 members in the parking lot outside the building where the shooting occurred, they were in shock and ready to go back home. How could they have expected a shooting? They were there for pizza and games. Others were there for birthday parties. It was 4 p.m. in the afternoon. “It’s really pathetic and pitiful to me,” Shauna West, 42, said of the shooting inside America's Incredible Pizza Company in Memphis. Once the initial shock wore off, she realized someone in her family could have gotten killed.

Comments:

Tensions were running high all day, and then shots rang out, with Antravion Greer, 21, grazing his own mother during the gunplay in the crowded facility. Memphis pulled down all of its Confederate monuments, even exhumed General Forrest, and still the problems remain in the bLACK community, among whom bLACK lives do not matter one bit.

re: the headline, the 300 patrons were playing, not laying, although some were lying on the ground while others ran for their lives. One event in progress was a birthday party for a 2-year-old, but that didn't stop Antravion from trying to settle a beef in the traditional Community way.

Memphis is a very violent city. A friend was a Memphis police officer for about 5 years, then quit. Too dangerous a job, and he wanted out of Memphis. Back in KC now running his own small business. Much happier.

20 years ago I lived a mile and a half up the road from this shooting location. Back in the day this was the good side of town, but now it seems that da hood has moved on up to the east side. Of course, once the City of Memphis annexed Cordova, it was inevitable that would happen. Libtards just have to ruin everything.

A Michigan state representative has defended spending $221 in campaign funds at a Detroit-area strip club, insisting that he was there to meet his constituents—and that they have 'great lamb chops'. This California city is really sticking it to its workers. Montclair in San Bernardino County now requires that its city employees who want to go maskless wear stickers proving they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. In order to be allowed not to wear a mask while working, the staffers have to show proof of inoculation, city officials said. The workers will then be given a sticker to display on their ID badges stating that they have their shot, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. The Senate Appropriations Committee reached a deal Tuesday to reimburse the National Guard and U.S. Capitol Police for deployments during the Jan. 6 riot. The funding had been held up by a partisan fight over including extra funding, with the holdup creating a budget crunch that threatened to force National Guard units to cancel training. The deal would provide a $2 billion security supplemental bill that would pay back Capitol Police and the National Guard. “We have the responsibility to take care of the Capitol Police in the wake of their incredible service on January 6th, and to reimburse our National Guard for costs incurred protecting the Capitol,”

At least 20 mayors from cities that have called to defund the police enjoy the perks of private security at a cost to taxpayers of millions of dollars a year. In February, San Francisco Mayor London Breed announced plans to redirect $120 million from the police department to a combination of new and existing programs. Meanwhile, the city spent $2.6 million to protect her in 2020, a number that will likely increase this year.
