U.S. coronavirus cases rising but deaths from
the virus aren’t

The spread of the Wuhan coronavirus in the U.S. has accelerated, apparently due mainly to the delta variant. Last month, reported new cases were averaging around 17,000 per day, according to Worldometer. Now, they are averaging around 40,000 per day. The good news is that deaths attributed to the virus aren’t increasing. A month ago, the daily death count was said to be around 350-400 per day. Now it’s slightly lower — more like 300 per day. Both totals represent a decrease from May, when the daily death count was coming in at more than 600. What explains the fact that cases have increased, but not deaths?

You don't die in the first few days. Fatalities if they are going to happen will lag cases by 3-4 weeks.

Yes, I have pointed this out repeatedly. They talk about "cases", not about deaths. In my county of over 600K, deaths running at a bit less than one every three days, with the exaggerations.

My husband and I were talking about this last night. They are NOT saying deaths....it's cases. This virus is bogus and the nation is not taking it anymore. People in the U.S. are now getting wise to political hacks like Fauci and CDC director. They can shove the masks, vaccines, etc. In fact, it is known that the vaccines are now more deadly than the virus.

The Delta Variant is as big a bust as the Murder Hornets. The recent ads and campaigns being run to persuade the stubborn masses out here to get the shot must be costing us taxpayers millions. I can't wait for the approach of November and the discovery of the "F" Variant.

Millions of Americans had covid and recovered. There is no need for them to be vaccinated, but they are not told that, just lumped in with the unvaccinated numbers. Yet I have read a couple of reports from scientists that people who already have antibodies are at higher risk for severe side effects from the vaccines, including death.

That doesn’t mean tomorrow, former FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb tells CNBC. The CDC hasn’t provided any modeling on the Delta wave yet, which Gottlieb finds odd, but other academic institutions have produced some models — and those suggest that the peak might come as soon as next month: “I think the bottom line is we’re going to see continued growth, at least in the next three to four weeks. There’s going to be a peak sometime probably around late August, early September,” Gottlieb said on “Squawk Box.” “I happen to believe that we’re further into this delta wave than we’re measuring so this may be over sooner than we think.

Former President Donald Trump is more popular with U.S. voters than President Joe Biden, according to a Rasmussen poll released on Friday. Fifty-one percent of voters have at least a somewhat favorable opinion of Biden compared to 52 percent who have a somewhat favorable opinion of Trump. More people have an unfavorable view of Biden (48 percent) than Trump (46 percent). However, former President Barrack Obama is more popular with voters than both Biden and Trump. Fifty-five percent of voters view Obama favorably, and only 26 percent have a very unfavorable opinion of him.

A cyber security media outlet called The Record is reporting that the NSA, after an investigation of themselves, say that they weren’t targeting or spying on Tucker Carlson. Oh, goodie, I’m always comforted when government agencies investigate themselves. Especially given the sketchy statement that they put out when the issue exploded last month. Attorney Harmeet Dhillon went through some of the problems with the statement. What they are admitting, at least according to this report, was that his name came up in a discussion and his name was unmasked when some government official asked for it to be. Fox was furious at the report. From The Record: “For the NSA to unmask

CBS News captured video of this brief but very bizarre and disturbing exchange between Joe Biden and a reporter. The reporter asks Biden if any Democrats support defunding the police, after he insisted that none do. Which is an obvious lie, since Democrats did defund police in many cities and many Democrats in Congress continue to support defunding the police. Biden’s response is attracting attention. A savvy pol who had his wits about him would use the opportunity to distance himself from the defund radicals whose policies are contributing to spiking murder rates across the country — actually killing people — and present himself as a sensible moderate

A town hall put on by CNN featuring President Joe Biden failed to shake up cable ratings on Wednesday night as the left-leaning network sat in the shadows of Fox News and MSNBC for primetime hours. The town hall, which was moderated by CNN anchor Don Lemon and garnered just a little more than half the amount of the total viewers Fox News had at the same time, finished third in ratings for Wednesday night, falling just behind MSNBC. According to Deadline, which reported on the latest ratings from Nielsen, CNN’s town hall drew in 1.46 million viewers between 8:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. as Biden spoke

After the liberal CNN panelists and coanchors roundly ridiculed Sen. What is the purpose of this fixation on attacking Anthony Fauci?” Avlon asked, according to NewsBusters.

On Wednesday night, President Biden was granted the second town hall of his presidency (with the first in February and the third in the last year) by his adoring fanboys and girls at CNN and, not surprisingly, the Jeffrey Zucker-led network made sure that the 80-minute event was little more than a foot-message (or smelling of the hair since that suits his fancy).
