The Senate Armed Services Committee on Wednesday approved language in its annual defense policy bill that would require women to register for the draft. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) was approved by senators on the committee behind closed doors, The Hill reported.A summary of the Act indicates that the approved NDAA “amends Military Selective Service Act to require the registration of women for Selective Service.”This Selective Service, or draft, “highlight” comes under a portion of the Act’s summary called the “Subcommittee on personnel.”

Good, register them and then please draft my ridiculous, obnoxious “feminist” niece first. Let the whining commence.

Remember when all those Hollywood Helicopter Moms jumped and bumped to get their stupidity-prone offspring into the best colleges and universities and on scholarships?!? You ain't seen nuthin' yet until you try to pull the Princes and Princesses off the college-track to make them join the military. Get enough popcorn to see you through it all. And beer.

Guess it is easy to register for a non-existent draft. How about EVERY American serve in the military for two years and then another two years at home. The USA would be a much better place.

This is wrong on so many levels I cant even begin. I was fat when I joined but twiggy compared to many of the teens nowadays. How many will get pregnant to avoid this future draft? How pathetic a people are we if we have to send our girls to fight for us? Does this mean the war is lost before it is started?

Our armed forces administrations know that if we have to draft qualified individuals we cannot do so by drafting only males. Too many males (percentage wise in the relevant ages) are unfit for military service because, among other disqualifications, too many have disqualifying criminal records, past or current drug use, or cannot pass the physical and/or mental tests. It's a dangerous national disgrace. Too many draft eligible males are too fat, lazy, drugged and/or stupid. I would not want them in my foxhole.

Any society that forces women to fight in war is a society that is already lost regardless of what happens in the war!!!!

I have long said to my ultra liberal, indignant, feminist nieces and daughter-in-law that if women really want equality then they should be drafted too. Instant silence. Every single time. Heh heh.

If we dont have enough qualified males to be forced to die for some crooked politician's aspirations, or to keep the defense industry in business, maybe the answer would be to not start so darned many wars we dont have any desire to win?

Yes #8. We NEED a similar program like Israel has ! Do you know even disabled young people often so do not want to be left out that the system finds service they can do? Boys and girls are eager and proud to do their part for two years.

One more thing if I may. Hey #13, according to my World War II veteran 95 year old father, a lot he signed up with were mamas boys and scared to death to boot. The Navy MADE good men out of them.

So the U.S. Congress can presume to decide that the women can go to war just like the men and that's, 'progress.' Families are not important to this Congress anymore, nor are the roles of mother, father, son & daughter. They are each the same, eh? This will not work out well. ...???!!!

This would have happened 50 years ago if the so-called Equal Rights Amendment had been adopted into the Constitution. Not only that, women would have been involuntarily into combat in Vietnam.

Aren't you little princesses glad you voted Communist now? You know, though, we COULD draft all those fat 'Karens' out there and put them in the front lines where they could annoy any enemy into submission.

It would be sexist and misogynistic of me to suggest that womyn aren't capable of slinging a pack and going to war, so instead I will take the ultra woke position and say:
You go girl!! Grrrrrrrrrrrl power (and all that crap).
Enjoy your equality.

I'd like to think that this is not a disingenuous and mean spirited trick our elected representatives are playing on us - AGAIN!!!!
if this is committed to, it will be the most significant act of "equality" and / or "equity" made in the last 25 years.

Three things changed this country forever:
They stopped the draft and boys did not become men. They became soy boys or criminals.
They took prayer out of school and nobody has the fear of G-d anymore
Women went to work and nobody cuddled these kids. They (not all) have been in day care or some institution most of their lives. No empathy.
You don't see whiners in Israel. Always some type of service they can do for the country. Maybe protect our own borders for a change.

I’m not keen on women being put into combat but I think putting every 18 year old through boot camp and then assigning them other military jobs is a great idea.
My husband walked into a Marine Corps recruiting office in 1969 and told them to sign him up. The Corps took a 19 year old boy and made him into a man.

I’m not keen on the idea of women in combat but I do think that sending every 18 year old to boot camp is a great idea. Start with all of the ugly fat white female 20-somethings who make up most of the BLM movement. Teach them discipline and responsibility with consequences. Once out of boot camp, put them in support jobs.

Are men and women the same in terms of strength? Do we really want to put women of childbearing age in harm's way? Are we safe with a majority female (or even large minority) armed forces? I think women should be excluded from combat roles, period and not subject to draft registration.
