Brazen Crime In California Has Become

California’s slide into chaos has not been an accident. A huge reason for the striking rise in homelessness and both petty and violent crime is Prop 47, a bill deceptively titled the Safe Neighborhoods and Schools Act. The actual bill couldn’t be further from the title. It reduces the penalties for felony crimes, allows for early release of violent criminals, changes some violent felonies to misdemeanors, and allows criminals to steal up to $950 dollars per day in property without prosecution. As a result, police officers are less and less likely to respond to calls reporting petty theft, as there isn’t much they can do with a suspect.

Overwhelm the system. We have certainly heard that before. The dems are just waiting for the citizens to start screaming "help us" to the federal government. That's when they will step in, destroy all local policing and replace them with a federal force of "policing soldiers" who will beholden to the federal government. States can't handle the problem so we must take over and help the citizens. It's just one more notch in the belt of the socialist/communist democrats. It might take years but it has started and they are watching and waiting to make their move. So unlike the sheriff in CA who said he would not enforce the new mask mandate our "new federal policing army" will.

What a super web site that Street People of LA twitter page is. The photo of the older woman's home so clogged up with homeless thugs that she can neither take out her trash or get her car out of her garage mirrors exactly why we left CA. Long Beach had the problems that bad 8 years ago but with less of Venice Beach's charisma and charm. I cannot imagine how bad our old (once lovely) neighborhood is there now.

Most people don't understand that retailers include the cost of shoplifting into the prices they charge for goods. Customers indirectly pay for theft - shoplifters are stealing from the public. By the way, the same principle applies to corporate taxes. Businesses don't pay them, they charge them to customers.

I am thinking California may turn into the wild wild west again. Like the good ol' days when there was no one willing to be sheriff, and the town folk had to unite and fight against the bad guys. But that was when everyone had multiple guns in their possession, and plenty of ammo.

The last straw for my daughter-in-law in San Jose was a young homeless girl shooting up in the street at 10 am - just a few hundred feet from her house. In a nice neighborhood. So, she and my son took their family and CONSERVATIVE votes to the great state of Texas. They are so happy there! They can fly the flag anytime without fear of vandalism and openly support Trump without fear of reprisal. There were conservatives in Cali. Most are beautiful big driven out.

Ca. is a beautiful state. The government there is incompetent, corrupt, and ignorant. That is very expensive, which is why the taxes are so high, and those that live there have lost their freedom. The snots at Google and Apple make a lot of money, and the government employees are quite comfortable. Everything else is a landfill.

LIFE ELEVATED, Utah’s state slogan, well describes the geology (high desert, mountains), the culture (adventurous), and the almost endless opportunities for outdoor recreation (world-class skiing, hiking, fishing, biking, hunting, golfing, etc.) and affirms living rather than merely existing – not bad for only two words! Contrast this with many places struggling through the COVID and BLM hell of 2020 and beyond.Consider someone with means spending the last year locked down in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, NYC, San Francisco, et al in a cramped apartment among a sea of cramped apartment buildings. With edicts and “Karens” preventing enjoying even a walk in the park let alone dinner out,

Two centrist sources, one of them explicitly Democratic, provided further reasons why Congress should reject the Democratic Party's massive $3.5 trillion “reconciliation” spending bill. The best new reason to oppose Democrats' massive, $3.5 trillion reconciliation spending bill is that even its outlandish price tag represents an exercise in budgetary sleight of hand. In other words, it is a lie.The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget — a respected, non-partisan arbiter — notes in a statement that its true cost "could exceed $5 trillion.”
