Biden Brags About ‘His’ Economic
Recovery, But Has To Lie To Do It

As TV screens showed the Dow Jones tumbling on inflation and renewed COVID fears, President Joe Biden took to the podium Monday to brag about how great the economy is doing and why he deserves all the credit. It was a remarkable act of prestidigitation for such an old man. Biden said that “it’s true that the economy was sputtering before I got here.” That’s provably false. He said that: “We’ve gone from 60,000 jobs per month to … more than 600,000 jobs per month since I took office.” That’s grossly misleading.

FTA: In his remarks, Biden dismissed the rising CPI as transitory and that it was fully expected as the economy recovered................. It became "fully expected" only after it got here. Inflation is going to rear up and bite joey in his aarse. Even the morons understand when their groceries and gasoline costs are going thru the roof.

Was he drooling while he gave this speech? To claim that his management of the economy is better than Trump’s is so laughable on its face that even his most loyal toadies know it’s a lie but they have to grin and clap like seals anyway to pretend they’re in complete agreement. We imagine tens of millions of Americans want to clean up after a day at work struggling to earn enough to keep up with the Biden inflation. But a quick shower under a healthy stream is another luxury the White House wants to take away from Americans. The current administration announced last week that it intends to force low-flow showerheads on the country that popularized showering, overriding an effort by the Trump administration to give consumers more options and reining in a government that believes it has no boundaries.

But in the latest I&I/TIPP Poll, nearly a third of those responded negatively to the woke trend, including a surprisingly large number of minority and Democratic respondents. The I&I/TIPP poll was conducted by TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence online from June 30 through July 2, and includes responses from 1,424 adults, for a margin of error of +/- 2.8 points. Young adults today are likely unfamiliar with the term “misery index.” But they could soon learn about it the hard way, thanks to President Joe Biden’s economic incompetence. The misery index, a measure started under President Lyndon Johnson, is a simple measure combining the unemployment rate and the inflation rate. The idea being that joblessness and a fast-rising cost of living produces palpable misery in the country. The index has long been forgotten because it’s been so low for so long.

President Joe Biden’s disreputable, drug-addled son Hunter recently decided to sell his “art,” which sparked a round of hand-wringing over the ethical implications. Hunter, you see, has no experience as an artist. And, based on the paintings we’ve seen, he has no discernible talent. But Hunter’s “artwork” will be sold at “a private and confidential opening” in Los Angeles, with the various pieces said to be priced between $75,000 and $500,000. If they do so, they will get precious little support at home. The poll found that 79% of the public say it’s important “for professional athletes to publicly respect the American flag on the international level,” with 60% saying it is “very important.” Just 16% of the adults surveyed think it’s not important.

A country of roughly 330 million has more than 9 million job openings, and 9.5 million unemployed. This is a disgrace, a clear indication that our American character and work ethic are slipping, a rolling tragedy that’s been authored by the Democrats. Three years ago, before Democrat Joe Biden was the president, while the Republicans still held a majority in the Senate, The Saturday Evening Post wondered if “the American work ethic (has) gotten worse.” “Have Americans lost their willingness to apply their noses to the grindstone, or to work hard for anything they get in life?” The venerable publication concluded “that’s not what statistics show.” Today’s data, however, tell a different story

Three of the big issues of the day have the liberal left scrambling to pretend that it’s not a group of outside-the-mainstream radicals: defunding police, critical race theory, and voter ID laws. There should be repercussions for such cravenness. President Biden argued that a massive influx of government spending bill will help fend off inflation, in a speech on the state of the economy at the White House on Monday. The White House has dubbed the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer plans to bring to the floor this week — and the $3.5 trillion budget resolution that Democrats plan to pass in the coming days without Republican support — the “Build Back Better” package. Biden said Monday that the two bills will help prevent, rather than exacerbate, runaway inflation.
