Portland mayor calls shooting that

One woman was killed and six others suffered bullets wounds in a “senseless” mass shooting in Portland Saturday, according to the local police department and mayor. An 18-year-old woman, who has not yet been publicly identified, died at a Portland hospital after gunfire struck seven victims around 2 a.m., according to the Portland police department and reports. The other six victims’ wounds are not life-threatening, cops said.(Snip)Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler was “heartbroken” by the “senseless” fatal shooting. “What happened early this morning is devastating. It’s tragic and it’s senseless,” Wheeler said at a press conference after the shooting,

Comments:

This happened in the city's entertainment district, and local restauranteurs are calling for answers from Mayor Ted, who gave a blank check to Marxist rioters. Also, "senseless" is very disrespectful to The Community, which has no problem opening fire to solve the most petty disputes.

FTA, "Downtown business owners look to Portland leaders for answers after deadly shooting": "We want people to feel safe coming downtown because we like doing business downtown. We’re basically trying to bring back and so I hope people are willing to come downtown," explained Randall Willhite, owner of PoBoyz. Willhite has a food truck near the scene of the shooting. On Saturday morning, he was at his business's first brick and mortar location which is still just a short distance away from the crime scene. He says already his business has had to deal with a broken window and they're not even officially open yet." https://katu.com/news/local/downtown-business-owners-look-to-portland-leaders-for-answers-after-deadly-shooting

It is happening just as Wheeler and liberal DAs have planned, they are not interested in controlling crime they want power and to control people. They want societal breakdown and are causing it by non-enforcement of laws and allowing career criminals to run loose, along with their ''defund the police'' garbage. There's nothing ''senseless'' about it, it is a natural of his intended consequence of his bad policies. It's not ''gun violence'' it is CRIME. An anthropomorphic gun did not drive-by senselessly shooting people, a criminal did that, and he probably has multiple arrests for violent felonies, drugs, and including illegal weapons charges and was released to commit more crimes.

House Democrats are trying to use a massive climate and infrastructure bill to change how Americans get around — by breaking states’ decades-old fondness for building highways.
