There were nearly 190,000 migrant encounters at the southern border in June, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced Friday — yet another rise in what were already sky-high border numbers, and bringing the total of encounters in fiscal year (FY) 2021 to more than 1 million. CBP said that 188,829 migrants were encountered at the southern border, an increase from the 180,034 encountered in May. It is also a sharp rise since when President Biden took office — there were 78,442 encounters in January.

Told to go forth and multiple, spread disease and commit crime. Ronnie D is going to the border. Anxious to hear what he says after.

I’d like to see a Republican governor send a busload of illegals to the Hamptons. Give them all $25, a sack lunch and the promise of a job.

Before the 2022 election the Democrats will be mailing all those illegal aliens ballots so that they can vote in that election, you can safely bet on that unless the wimpy Republicans wake up.

Arrests? These people aren't being arrested. They're being ushered into the country with a boat load of freebies and transportation to anywhere in the U.S.

We reported previously on the irony that hit the runaway Texas Democrats. The Democratic lawmakers fled to D.C. to avoid having a quorum to be able to vote on an election security bill in Texas. They’ve been spreading a blatant lie that the bill is denying people voting rights when, in fact, it doesn’t deprive one person of the ability to vote. But now, three of them have tested positive for the Wuhan coronavirus. This was after they took a bus, then a charter flight to D.C. and had been all around D.C., even meeting with people like Kamala Harris and Joe Manchin. Sounds like they were a super-spreader group.

A shooting occurred outside the third base gate at Nationals Park as the Nationals hosted the Padres Saturday night, causing panic and confusion before the team evacuated fans and postponed the game. Shortly after the reports surfaced, Washington D.C. police announced three people were shot outside of the stadium, however, there was no longer a threat present. Play was suspended in the middle of the sixth inning with San Diego leading, 8–4, after gunshots were heard. Some fans panicked and attempted to flee the stadium. Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. and others with family members in attendance rushed into the stands

Vaccine hesitancy is a big problem, according to the Biden administration. Less than half the public is fully vaccinated while about 56 percent have received at least one jab. The goal of fully vaccinating the American public appears to have stalled. This should not surprise us. When the vaccines were first approved for emergency use back in December 2020, 40 percent of Americans expressed skepticism about the vaccine. Trying to shame the holdouts has failed spectacularly. Insulting and degrading them as “morons” or “ignorant” has resulted in a vicious pushback and a hardening of positions on getting vaccinated.

Three Democratic members of the Texas House of Representatives have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the Texas House Democratic Caucus. The three lawmakers are among House Democrats who fled to Washington, D.C., earlier this week to stave off GOP priority voting bills during the special legislative session. The three members who tested positive all have been fully vaccinated, which helps protect against severe illness. On Friday night, one member tested positive for the coronavirus and immediately alerted colleagues, who, in addition to staff members, took rapid tests. On Saturday morning, two additional members tested positive after taking rapid tests. The cases were first reported by the Austin American-Statesman.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki started a hullabaloo yesterday by admitting that they had been in “frequent contact” with Facebook to “flag misinformation” to get Facebook to take down information about the Wuhan coronavirus that they considered “misinformation” and to ban users. Today, she doubled down on that and said that people banned on one platform should be banned on all platforms, an especially troubling thing to say when the government is in constant contact with social media to flag and ban people. Then Joe Biden made an insane comment on his way to his helicopter at the the White House that Facebook was “killing people.”

A federal judge issued an injunction on Friday ordering the Biden administration to cease accepting applications to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The program, initially established in 2012 under the Obama administration, allows illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children to defer deportation for two years and to renew the deferral, as well as to receive work permits. DACA recipients are not granted a path to citizenship. The Department of Homeland Security “violated the [Administrative Procedure Act] with the creation of DACA and its continued operation,” Judge Andrew Hanen of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas wrote in a ruling on Friday.

Joe “Grandpa Disaster” Biden was at it again today during his briefing with German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the White House today. Biden definitely seemed to be having a hard time with basic coherence. In his homage to her years of service, he mistakenly called her the “second largest” but then corrected that to the “second longest” serving chancellor. Largest and longest are both good words, but hardly interchangeable and certainly not the best word to use here when referring to Merkel. He then said that they needed to “upend” their “global climate ambitions.”

Usually when a migrant is picked up at the border and makes a claim of asylum, the border patrol processes those claims and gives the migrants a “notice to appear” in a specific court at a specific time. But back in April the Associated Press reported that because of the big surge of migrants at the border, many were being released into the interior of the country with just an instruction which told them to report to an ICE facility within 60 days for processing: The Border Patrol began the unusual practice last week in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley, which has seen the biggest increase

The Washington Post reports, with obvious dismay, that American Airlines, Cigna, Aflak, and other corporations are once again making campaign contributions to legislators who opposed certifying Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election. The corporations in question stopped contributing to these members after the events of January 6 this year. However, with the possible exception of Cigna, they didn’t say they would never again contribute to any of them. The companies merely paused their contributions. Thus, the subtitle of the Post’s article — “The flow of money is a sign that corporate America’s promises were temporary” — is nonsensical. The “promises” were “temporary” on their face. American Airlines said it would pause

During a Thursday press conference, Psaki said White House senior staff were engaging with “social media platforms” to combat the spread of “misinformation specifically on the pandemic.” “In terms of actions we are taking or that we’re working to take, I should say, from the federal government, we’ve increased disinformation research and tracking within the surgeon general’s office. We're flagging problematic posts for Facebook that spread disinformation," she said.

The National Football League (NFL) recently joined virtually every other American institution in lauding — and marketing to — the LGBT community during Pride Month in June. It did so by releasing a new 30-second commercial proudly proclaiming that "football is gay, lesbian, queer, transgender, bisexual and exciting." The ad begins by stating "football is gay" to the sound of drums rolling and people cheering. (I'm not sure what Dick Butkus would have to say about this advertisement, but I digress.) [Tweet] The ad is in part a direct response to Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Carl Nassib's recent announcement that he is gay, a league spokesperson said.

WASHINGTON — Two weeks after celebrating America’s near “independence” from the coronavirus, President Joe Biden is confronting the worrying reality of rising cases and deaths — and the limitations of his ability to combat the persistent vaccine hesitance responsible for the summer backslide. Cases of COVID-19 have tripled over the past three weeks, and hospitalizations and deaths are rising among unvaccinated people. While the rates are still sharply down from their January highs, officials are concerned by the reversing trendlines and what they consider needless illness and death. And cases are expected to continue to rise in coming weeks.

The vast majority of Covid-19 anti-vaccine misinformation and conspiracy theories originated from just 12 people, a report by the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) cited by the White House this week found. CCDH, a UK/US non-profit and non-governmental organization, found in March that these 12 online personalities they dubbed the “disinformation dozen” have a combined following of 59 million people across multiple social media platforms, with Facebook having the largest impact. CCDH analyzed 812,000 Facebook posts and tweets and found 65% came from the disinformation dozen. Vivek Murthy, US surgeon general, and Joe Biden focused on misinformation around vaccines this week

House Democrats are trying to use a massive climate and infrastructure bill to change how Americans get around — by breaking states’ decades-old fondness for building highways. Legislation the House passed this month is the biggest advance yet in Democrats' efforts to bake climate policies into transportation, addressing the largest single contributor to the United States’ greenhouse gas output. It would also represent an historic shift away from the roads-first approach to federal transportation spending that has reigned since Dwight Eisenhower created the Interstate Highway System. But the bill is riling up opposition from two potential allies of the Democrats'
