Wakayama, Japan — Germany’s Olympic soccer team walked off the field during a preparation match for the Tokyo Games on Saturday in response to alleged racist abuse from an opposing Honduras player toward German defender Jordan Torunarigha. The players left the field together with five minutes remaining in the game after Torunarigha was “racially insulted,” the German soccer federation said on Twitter. “If one of our players is racially abused, it’s not an option for us to keep playing,” Germany coach Stefan (Snip) “It was hard to get him in, he was terribly upset because he said he was repeatedly racially abused,”

Comments:

Walked off due to trash talking or because the Hondurans were tied with mighty Germans?

once upon a time the player in question would have quadrupled his efforts and punched in a couple of goals, humiliating the opposition. barring that, he would have found a way to cream the offending player even if it meant getting ejected from the game

OK, for those who go-on-and-on about how racist America is....just note; ''Torunarigha, who is the son of former player Ojokojo Torunarigha of Nigeria, has faced racist abuse before. He was targeted with monkey chants by some Schalke fans in a German Cup game on Feb. 4, 2020. Schalke was fined 50,000 euros ($54,600) for its supporters’ abuse.'' THIS .... was in 2020, not 1920. Can anyone conceive that a crowd of sports fans in the US would ever do anything such as that ? It doesn't even make any damn sense.

#8, there was a famous such case. Ranjitsinhji, the Jamsaheb ( Maharaja) of Nawanagar in India, played cricket for England in the early 20th century. When he took to the field at the Lords ground in London he was greeted by chants of N*****, N***** ( yes, Indians in those high days of Empire were subjected to the same treatment). But he went on to excel at his game finally leading the England team as captain. Today First Class cricket series in India is named Ranji Trophy after him.

The Germans have always been very racially sensitive people - - - - you know - - always going out of their way to make others feel comfortable - - like Jews, gypsies, slavs, homosexuals, the mentally ill - - and all other untermenschen - - who are unfortunate not to be members of the Master Race. Yes - - very racially sensitive indeed.
