The White House admitted Wednesday that Senate Democrats lack the votes to pass the $3.5 trillion reconciliation “infrastructure” framework agreed upon Tuesday evening.
“If there were enough votes for each of these priorities there would be a vote and it would have happened,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said about the two track infrastructure proposals the Democrats are attempting to pass, one via filibuster- immune reconciliation and the other by a traditional vote.
Psaki added that Biden is:
…headed up to the hill because it’s the next natural step, ummm, and as I said, he [Biden] knows that as president you lay out out an agenda…
Because there is very little "infrastructure" in the Bill, I noticed today they said "human infrastructure" Explain it to the people who are actually paying for this nonsense.

So they can't even come up with 50. That means that most likely Manchin and probably Sinema are holding out, and that Pierre & the Twins haven't caved in yet. Manchin said he wants the whole thing paid for without deficit spending, which is a non-starter since there is no way to do it.
The stories I have seen today suggest that Republicans are now backing away from the smaller bipartisan part 1 of this that Pierre & the Twins worked on, that would require 60 votes to get. The plan was to get this one through, claim that the Republicans were on board, and then ram the second part through with reconciliation so that Republicans could share the blame even without voting for it. It seems at least a few of the Republicans sniffed this out and are now saying they won't support the bipartisan, either.
This is a 4.5 Trillion dollar boondoggle that Xiden is desperate to sign, especially since HR1 is stalled in the Senate and going nowhere unless they cave on the filibuster.

"Infrastructure", as in infrastructure for Communism... accustom people to receiving payments from the government, spending us into impossible debt in the process, getting people to think of the party as their hope for improving their lives. The whole series of crises last year was orchestrated to groom the country for the Commies to take power and leave us too weak to resist or fight back.

One fault I will put at the feet of Pres Trump and the Republican Congressional "Leadership" is the failure to seriously present any true "Infrastructure " proposal during the Trump administration.

Funny that Breitbart does not write about how the Globalist Marxists stole the 2020 election from Donaldus Magnus. NeverTrumpers are tiresome.

It is not an infrastructure bill, it is a Dem slush fund bill, with a tiny dab of infrastructure as a fig leaf.

The only thing that Joe Manchin cares more about than the liberal agenda is his own re-election. With the current mood of the country he knows he is on thin ice. The symbolic head of his party is a drooling demented idiot with more corruption in his family than the Clintons, and his VP is dumber than he is. Joe knows what’s really in this ‘infrastructure’ bill. If he supports it he’s going to go down in flames. My bet is that he won’t chance it.

Step back and take stock of what they are admitting by claiming "infrastructure" is in a state of dire need, so much so that we must commit future generations to pay for it because virtually every person alive today has a federal debt well in excess of what we could possibly pay off before we die.
The federal government took 8% of GDP out of the economy prior to WWII. To save the world from Hitler (and hand much of it to Stalin but I digress) that was increased to 17% where it has remained +- a point. We have been spending at World War levels while accumulating massive debt in the process and somehow we managed to neglect essential "infrastructure?" And instead of being ashamed of that, they have the gall to tell us we need to commit to more debt because they screwed the pooch?
This is admitting abject failure and expecting to be rewarded for it with a greater role in our lives, and more power over us. Notice how the cry for more and more is always tied to something essential, how could anybody be against that!

So Biden will go up to the hill to lay out his agenda. Really. The man is a sick, suffering from dementia who has a hard time putting two coherent sentences together. And the media and the rest of the communist democrats act like this guy is normal. How long does this harade go on. How many fools do we have in congress. Our country is going down the drain and they act like everything is fine.

That's why the evil Chuckie doll is pushing for budget reconciliation where only a simple majority is needed to pass the budget in the Senate instead of 60 votes. Barring that, no doubt Biden's Board of Regents is ready with more executive orders.

I would agree with #4...there were opportunities to do infrastructure bills but Trump didn't do anything on them. Maybe he should have spent less time on twitter and more time on the boring part of the job...:)
