Seems many of our Democrat congresscritters are pretty rotten bosses. I remember reading about Rep Shelia Jackson Lee's office in fear of her tirades. Once, during a congressional break, a nearby office heard laughter and jolliness from. SJL's office, which just didn't happen. Soon after, there was a knock on their door and an SJL staffer asked to borrow a knife to cut a birthday cake. When they asked why they didn't have a knife in their break room, the SJL staffer said something like that's probably not a good idea.

Paywall doesn’t help. What is it about lefty women in positions of power that make them lousy bosses? It’s as if that these are really insecure people who sense that deep down that they are woefully out of their depth in leadership and therefore must overcompensate to come across as masculine. Queen bee syndrome doesn’t help either amongst other females in the organization, plus a lust for power and control, makes them nasty and vindictive people.

Cases of COVID-19 have tripled over the past three weeks, and hospitalizations and deaths are rising among unvaccinated people. While the rates are still sharply down from their January highs, officials are concerned by the reversing trendlines and what they consider needless illness and death. And cases are expected to continue to rise in coming weeks.

House Democrats are trying to use a massive climate and infrastructure bill to change how Americans get around — by breaking states’ decades-old fondness for building highways. Legislation the House passed this month is the biggest advance yet in Democrats' efforts to bake climate policies into transportation, addressing the largest single contributor to the United States’ greenhouse gas output. It would also represent an historic shift away from the roads-first approach to federal transportation spending that has reigned since Dwight Eisenhower created the Interstate Highway System.
