A radical teachers’ union has a message for parents: We control your children, not you. And it means to prove it by shoving Marxist Critical Race Theory (CRT) down your kids’ throats, part of the union’s ongoing effort to “fundamentally change” America. If you want the best for your children’s education, you’ll say “hell, no!” to this pernicious, anti-American ideology.
Unfortunately, many centrist and conservative parents have looked the other way as our nation’s once-superior public schools have been taken over by leftist unions and their “educator” allies,

How can a system that is a a complete wreck with teachers who don’t want to work be ruined?

I don't think parents have looked the other way, it's that the school system has hidden this Marxist agenda from the parents. Schools are locked down. Getting your kid at school inside the school is almost impossible. Parents have to be buzzed in and explain why they are there, then they need to present ID at the office. Once in the office, that's where the parent meets up with the child. The parent never sets foot inside a hallway let alone a classroom. This past year has opened that closed system up to parents like never before. The parents got a chance to see to a certain extent what takes place inside the classroom, and I think many parents didn't like what they saw and heard.

The average American teacher is indeed a party to CRT indoctrination but while not wholly innocent is not wholly guilty either. They become teachers for noble reasons then once hired find themselves trapped by the unions in power. What needs to happen is to school by school decertify the unions. It willl be an uphill battle but very doable - if the teachers themselves will realize and fight against these anti-American unions. If they won't then they are as guilty as it comes and are enemies to our children, families, and nation.

A Government monopoly is the worst way to deliver a service, and the "public" school system is prime evidence. The sooner people walk away from this corrupt system the sooner the Country will be on the road to recovery. The challenge will be de-coupling the financing of this corrupt machine from County property taxes and allowing the people to keep their money.
Scott Walker exposed the taxpayer-funded graft between public sector unions and the Democrat party in Wisconsin. This needs to be done in every state.

Like the fake pandemic, critical race theory is somehow being swallowed, primarily by people lacking critical judgement. Foisted on them through communist indoctrinated educated fools. As they may have succeeded in stealing the last presidential election, they may yet succeed in destroying the most ethical and successful country in history. Not perfect by a long shot, but the best so far.

Urban public education has been wrecked for decades...CRT is just another smack of that wrecking ball. If it wasn't "free", attendance and support would be minuscule. But, then, many demanded the public schools teach "values". And here you are...they're just not YOUR values.
Defund Government Schools.

Poster #6 is over the target.
Government owned, operated, or subsidized schools cannot be "reformed." The only solution is to completely do away with all government involvement in education.
It's up to individual parents or guardians to determine how their children should be educated - - and to pay for it. The system of massive government-run schools is an abject failure - - as well as being unconstitutional. Let the free market determine the scope, size, and nature of schools.
It's very disheartening to read posts by well-meaning L-Dotters - - who try to think up ways to reform government schools. It can't be done - - it must be ended - - completely!

Thank you for saying it well #7. It is time to face the truth. Public school systems function for the good of the employees of that system - NOT for the children who have been treated as political pawns for decades. I have picked up and read some of our local West Texas government school textbooks on purpose. Its been clear for those who wish to SEE how dumbed down and lacking in rigor most textbooks are. World History candy coats every other nation and gently or aggressively criticizes the USA. Its past time to quit making excuses for the system which shows American children with plummeting scores compared to other nations. Is this really ok with parents just because public school is free?

It’s up to children’s parents across the country to make sure that racists, radicals, and socialists peddling CRT do not destroy public education. As it is their children who have the most to loose if the country is essentially segregated again by race. The people pushing CRT consistently talk about what happened 150-400 years in the past and not the progress made in racial relations from the Civil War, the old Democrat designed so-called Jim Crow era, and from segregation to integration that has been made since then.

Teachers will back their unions no matter what they are told to teach. It keeps the gravy train running, raises, benefits, retirement at 55, etc. Without unions, they would be paid what they are worth.

Oops, too late. The government schools were already wrecked. Fortunately, all my grand kids are either being home schooled or in private schools.
