“Black Lives Matter is not political, it’s basic human rights,” my coaching staff and teammates heading our new “Call to Action Committee” told me and the other team members after practice. They were responding to some of the concerns I had expressed prior to the team meeting.
By the next game, while running out of the tunnel 10 of my 13 Davidson College teammates and all four of my coaches were wearing T-shirts with “Black Lives Matter” bannered across the front. When the national anthem played and with our U.S. Army veteran team doctor behind us, most of my team dropped to one knee in protest of America’s “institutional racism.”

The pressure on people to self-correct and jump on the CRT train is growing exponentially each day. It's frightening, and I honestly don't see any way to reverse course. It's great to see small victories here and there in local BOE meetings and such, but I fear it's too little too late....and I'm no pessimist by any means!

Being intolerant of people who do not have the decency to respect the country that others have built for them to enjoy is a basic human right which I have adopted. My flag and service to my country is much more imortant than the stupid games that you play in school.

#2.... Maybe, but the ME Too meme is getting it's teeth pulled with the law finally prevailing with Cosby and next up will be Weinstein. Pigs both but they got the rush treatment just like the cop in the Floyd trial. I believe crt and blm are heading for the same ditch.

She is courageous in standing up for what is right, and the coda is that she is no longer on the team.

Hopefully, we take back the House and expand the Senate in 2022. THAT is the time to begin going after these colleges and Sports groups who wear BLM shirts or paint it across the Basketball Floor. There is NO PLACE for Racial messages in any Arena where PUBLIC funds are accepted. Colleges should lose their funding if they decide to take a stand. And Athletes who take a knee at the Anthem should not be allowed on the Team. I don't care if they are Black. If they are there playing on someone else's dime, they can darn well stand up and keep their Big Mouth Shut about being "Oppressed"! Oppressed would be them working along the Road breaking Rocks, not going to College!

They can claim ''basic human rights'', but the BLM organization is a political advocacy group with policies that it prescribes; which make police less effective and cause more crime and violence. If ''black lives matter'' as they claim, why do they promote policies that cause the loss of more black lives. These loss of life from drug-related homicide, street violence, drug overdoses, and even traffic accidents will increase. Despite their protests; more encounters between criminals and law enforcement will occur with statistically more chances for them to go wrong and result in violence. Of course most college athletes who come from affluent families and live on campuses will be shielded from the fallout of the bad policies, so they can continue to preach and virtue signal with their useless gestures.

The article still misses the 600 pound gorilla in the room -- the movement that can't "forgive America" for what the Democrat Party single-handedly has done in its name, seems quite comfortable now with supporting the the Democrat Party and forgiving them every sin they've ever committed -- slavery, the Civil War, Japanese American internment, Jim Crowe, opposition to the '64 Civil Rights Act, mass abortion of Black babies . . . No, the real enemy now in their eyes is the original black lives matter movement -- the Republican Party.

If they can wear BLM, then you can wear MAGA, the flag, and USA symbols.

These athletes are pretty naive, thinking that what they do is of any real importance or has any real value. They're like overpaid monkeys doing tricks to keep others entertained. When they start preaching in the public arena, they're easy to turn off. While they have the right to their opinions, voicing them in public venues gets them turned off and tuned out. And with the dims pushing LGBTQWXYZ down our throats by insisting boys can play with girls, they're going to kill sports in America. The PC crappola hasn't gotten down into high school sports yet, at least not here in S. Louisiana, and it's still fun to go to games. But, it's entertainment, and attendance will end when the PC preaching begins.

As OP has suggested, several years ago, I changed my will cutting out a small liberal arts college I attended (and my family supported for years) after they hired a militant racist black as a professor who clearly hated whites (at a school that was 80% white!). I wrote them a letter and told them why they had lost a bequest I'd never told them about. I did receive a letter and phone call from the college president, but I blew both off, telling him that actions have consequences, and his consequence was that I had already changed my will and was taking my money elsewhere. He gave up after that.

If you think its educational and proper to pay sports figures at college games, I think it only fair to pay every band member that preforms at these events.
Band members devote as much time and effort to excel by mastering their musical instrument plus hours learning marching skills than do a few sports figures chasing a football or basketball.

Either these coaches have been told by the college administration to spout this BS, or they aren't paying attention to what BLM leaders have been saying for years. BLM is indeed a Marxist political movement and has absolutely nothing to do with improving black lives, except the black lives of the leaders of BLM.

There is a way to fix this problem. Alumni from these universities need to make their voices heard, including shutting down donations if necessary.
