A major conservative book publisher accused the New York Times of purposefully excluding author Michael Knowles’ book on censorship from its best seller list Friday. “There are two kinds of best seller lists,” Regnery publisher Tom Spence told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “There are those that are based on the number of books that have been sold that week. And then there is the New York Times best seller list.”Knowles’ book “Speechless: Controlling Words, Controlling Minds,” published June 22, was the top of the Publisher’s Weekly bestseller list for the week ending June 26, but did not appear in the New York Times ranking of the top 15 best-selling

This has been going on for years. If the Times doesn’t agree with your book’s premise then they will hide it or gin up some “reviews” trashing it.

Given that the credibility of the NYT is pretty much history, does getting on their list really mean anything?

Two hundred years ago, John Quincy Adams gave one of the most famous and most misunderstood speeches in American history. Speaking in the Capitol building to the citizens of Washington, D.C., the secretary of state commemorated the Declaration of Independence and attacked the legitimacy of autocracy and colonialism. Understandably, his contemporaries were struck by its belligerence. But so misunderstood is the speech that isolationists to this day use it to advocate against the kind of foreign policy Adams himself practiced. When Adams argued that the Declaration of Independence was "the only legitimate foundation of civil government" and had "demolished at a stroke the lawfulness of all governments founded upon conquest,"

Against the backdrop of more email disclosures, constitutional law expert Jonathan Turley apparently thinks that the corporate media could be a willing partner in an all-time coverup of the extent of Hunter Biden’s alleged international influence pedaling while trading on his father’s name.Turley, the high-profile, fair-minded George Washington University law professor and self-described liberal, suggested that the Biden family has never disputed that validity of the alleged damning emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop, and that perhaps makes the media’s possible malpractice even more glaring. The law professor implied that a binary choice is in play: either a frameup over a coverup

Those of Joe Biden’s public behaviors that align with classic dementia symptoms are escalating. In the past few days, he strongly exhibited two symptoms: A type of belligerence that’s a cover-up for confusion and memory loss and a paranoid fear of those in charge of him. I used to spend a lot of time in the company of doctors. What always fascinated me were the tales they told of dealing with patients with early-stage dementia. The most interesting point they made was that elderly people, so as not to lose face or admit their own fears, are superb at deflecting the questions aimed at assessing their cognitive skills and memory.
