The U.S. Supreme Court announced Friday it would not take up a case over LGBT rights and religious liberty when it comes to same-sex weddings in a dispute brought by a florist. The high court declined to hear Barronelle Stutzman’s case after she lost at the Washington Supreme Court when the state attorney general sued her for not providing flowers from her flower shop, Arlene’s Flowers, for a same-sex wedding. The American Civil Liberties Union also filed a lawsuit against the florist on behalf of the couple.
Washington’s highest court concluded she could be forced to participate in the event despite her First Amendment claim

New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed Friday the rule barring marijuana use during the Olympic races was an "instrument of racist and colonial policy." The congresswoman’s comments followed the announcement that U.S. champion Sha’Carri Richardson will not be running in the 100-meter race after she tested positive for THC, a chemical found in marijuana, at the Olympic trials – voiding her first-place results.

MSNBC political analyst and former Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill said Friday she and her family will start a new tradition this Independence Day by re-watching footage of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. The Missouri Democrat said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that The New York Times’s new video, “Day of Rage: An In-Depth Look at How a Mob Stormed the Capitol,” will become standard viewing at her family gatherings every July Fourth. “We’re going to start a new family tradition in my family,” Ms. McCaskill said, according to a clip flagged by Grabien Media. “On the Fourth of July and every Fourth of July going forward,

The National Education Association (NEA) adopted a measure designed to thwart the ongoing campaign against so-called "anti-racist" education, which critics have described as a form of neo-racism.
"NEA will research the organizations attacking educators doing anti-racist work and/or use the research already done and put together a list of resources and recommendations for state affiliates, locals, and individual educators to utilize when they are attacked," the measure reads on NEA's website.

The claims are hard to believe... but the source is so solid and credible that you will find this amazing story hard to dismiss. A Los Angeles policeman says an ultra-secret Police Department file names JFK’s brother Bobby Kennedy as the killer of Marilyn Monroe — and actor Peter Lawford confessed to the cop that he watched the murder unfold... When Marilyn Monroe shrugged off her ermine wrap and handed it to actor Peter Lawford, live on television at Madison Square Garden, she created a moment of pure theatrical Viagra. The 35-year-old star was revealed at the microphone in a skin-tight, rhinestone encrusted gown that made her appear

Disney World has made another change at its Orlando, Florida, theme park as part of the company's initiative to become more inclusive. Employees were invited to a "cast member" preview of the "Happily Ever After" fireworks show at Magic Kingdom on Wednesday. The event was the first fireworks showing hosted at Disney World since the nightly shows were halted at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the fireworks show seemingly remains unchanged, the preshow recording is now different. As heard in videos shared by employees, Disney World has replaced the "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls" greeting with one

A judge on Thursday ruled in favor of a group that filed a lawsuit demanding more police officers be brought into the city, after City Council members and activist groups advocated to replace the police department following the death of George Floyd.
Hennepin County District Judge Jamie L. Anderson issued a Writ of Mandamus (pdf) ordering the city to hire more police officers, specifically, that Minneapolis should have at least 730 officers or .0017 of the 2020 census population, whichever is higher, by the end of June 2022.
An unprecedented number of officers quit or went on extended medical leave after Floyd’s death and the unrest that followed, which included the burning

President Joe Biden pushed for Democrat California Rep. Maxine Waters to run for the Senate and told House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to 'keep it up' during a series of hot mic moments at a bill signing on Wednesday night.'Senator, I hope. You think I'm kidding, I'm not,' Biden said Wednesday when speaking to Waters about her future during the appearance with Illinois Democratic Rep. Jesus 'Chuy' Garcia.Waters, 82, seemed surprised and then shrugged her shoulders. The Republican National Committee jumped on the comment and slammed Biden for suggesting he wanted the 'far-left, anti-police' Waters

During an average year, the U.S. Capitol welcomes 2.5 million visitors, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has refused to reopen the Capitol to visitors — school groups, families, or anyone hoping to see the legislative branch in action. To make matters worse, Pelosi’s refusal even to allow visitors on the Capitol grounds resulted in the outdoor concert regularly held on the Capitol’s west front to celebrate our nation’s independence being canceled. What could have been a unifying celebration of our Independence Day and defeat of COVID-19 will instead be virtual performances streamed online.

The White House dove into damage control this week after reports of dysfunction and infighting in Vice President Kamala Harris' office, with the administration trying to stop a drama-filled narrative from taking hold, according to five people who spoke to CNN about the dynamics within Harris' office. Two people close to Harris' team said some individuals inside the vice president's office are frustrated with what they see as a dysfunctional operation that has been at times waylaid by internal conflict. Some of that ire is directed squarely at Harris' chief of staff, Tina Flournoy, those people said. Another source close

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has blasted her critics as sexist and racist - just six weeks after she sparked fury by refusing to be interviewed by white journalists. [SNIP]
Phil Ponce, of WTTW, said, ‘In recent months, there have been questions raised about your temperament and your reaction to criticism – a (Chicago) Tribune editorial used the term irascible – how much of this do you think might have to do with the fact that you’re a woman and specifically a black woman?’
In response, Lightfoot said, ‘99 percent of it.’

How much has the liberal media become like North Korean state media? As I previously wrote, one great example (and there are daily examples) was a gag-inducing piece on “Dr. Jill” Biden from Vogue which was so bad it put the North Koreans to shame.(Tweet) It’s so bad, it’s laughable. But they also expect us to bite on this and swallow it.Here are a couple of examples so you can get a good flavor of the piece: Part of what makes the Bidens’ right-out-of-the-gate successes so extraordinary is that they seem to have perfectly read the room: We have been through this enormous, collective trauma, and here’s a calm, experienced,
