Prosecutors investigating the Trump Organization are expected to bring their first indictments on Thursday, according to people familiar with the probe, charging the company and its chief financial office Allen Weisselberg with tax-related crimes. It would mark the first criminal charges brought against the former president's company since the Manhattan district attorney's office began its investigation three years ago, according to the Wall Street Journal. It reported that the defendants including Weisselberg are expected to appear in court on Thursday afternoon. The development will come as a deep blow to former President Trump whose lawyers met with prosecutors on Monday

Filth garbage lying deceit by a corrupt unAmerican persecutor and their entire cabal of traitors to the American judicial system. Assaulting a private corporation in the same way they did ENRON and ruining a world class company like Arthur Andersen. How in the name of all that is righteous do the patriotic American people get true justice?

Question: Have all other CFOs who have done what Allen Weisselberg allegedly did also been similarly charged? I suspect not. Sounds like yet another malicious prosecution for maximum negative publicity for political purposes.

"Give me a man and I'll find a crime!" It's straight out of the Communist Party Handbook. Are you telling me that the IRS and NY tax people overlooked this years ago? Republicans, once back in power, better play the Democrat's game and start persecuting all of these bad actors. Empty their deep pockets for a change.

Purely political to get Trump. They want him gone (both parties). Anyone charged will be pressured to give 'evidence' on Trump to avoid jail time. Then they will file charges against Trump. Just in time for 2022 and 2024.
What a pile of garbage. Our government is so corrupt.

It's hard to imagine that the company can be guilty of any crime in this context unless Weisselberg is proven guilty and it's proven that the company has conspired with him. T. The recipient of bonuses and fringe benefits pay income taxes. Bonuses and fringe benefits are tax deductible expenses of the paying entity.
Is this an attempt to harm Trump through guilt by association? Are the feds trying to squeeze Weisselberg to try to have him falsely implicate Trump?
Trump and his companies retain some of the best tax accountants and tax attorneys. They are paid big bucks to keep him and his companies out of trouble, and they do what they're to do.

I'm sure the angle is "we got Capone on tax violation"...
There's a HUGE difference to deliberately not paying taxes on something, and failure to not pay taxes on something you weren't likely aware of (maybe multiple interpretations) was a taxable item.
It's doubtful they willfully didn't pay the taxes on some fringe benefit, and generally the person who "earned" that income will be liable for taxes, and also didn't file their taxes on that year.
In normal circumstances, the corporation would be levied a fine, and pay the taxes due.
I suspect they are expecting to make a spectacle about this, with the expectation of blunting the AZ audit results.

Free water bottle, coffee cup, and $10 Starbucks gift card were not reported as taxable income. In the meantime New York's murder rate is soaring.

The big question that should be asked is would the highly partisan liberal Democrat New York prosecutors have pursued criminal charges against Trump, his family, his friends, his employees, or his businesses, if the “outsider” Trump had not jumped into national politics back in 2016 and defeated the New York career liberal Democrat darling Hillary Clinton for the Presidency? Clearly that answer would be a big No, especially if Trump had instead stayed out of politics, run his businesses from the Trump Tower, and above all had continued to contribute large amounts of money to liberal Democrat politicians and to liberal Democrat backed causes that Trump did for so many years. Remember it has been said many times that partisan Democrat prosecutors could indict a ham sandwich at any time in liberal Democrat run New York City. This is pure and simple a political persecution designed to take Trump out of national politics before the 2022 and 2024 elections.

So if you're generous to your employees, it's a crime? How about that homeless woman Trump housed for years? Will she have to pay back taxes on the value of the housing?
I worked for a sales firm and there were frequent contests with gifts of tickets, meals, and items (I particularly liked the leather flight jacket and silk scarf that was part of a Top Gun contest) of value. Not taxed.
Those were the days.
