Bill Cosby’s sex assault conviction was overturned by Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Wednesday. The actor, 83, was released from prison after the court ruled that the prosecutor who brought the case was bound by his predecessor's agreement not to charge Cosby.
Philip Dube, a Los Angeles County deputy public defender who was not involved in the case, told Fox News that the comedian – once dubbed "America's Dad" – was released because he was "denied due process and the benefit of an immunity agreement reached between him and prosecutors during civil litigation brought by his victims."
Bill sang like a bird. So did Mack. They both talked and got reduced sentences. Let's see what the future brings.

This is the world of Biden and the deep state. Sex crimes by the elite will be handled accordingly.

if the first prosecutor basically offered Cosby immunity, the second prosecutor is a fool. Guilt doesn't matter at that point. I've seen worse deals made, there is less and less justice in our country's 'legal' system. See any number of number of ranking dems, including bill and hillary, podesta, joe and hunter, ad nauseum.

So...violating an immunity agreement. Interesting prosecutorial misconduct.
I'm thinking that Cosby has a $25 million lawsuit there, or better.

Cosby has spent more time in courtrooms and in jail than any of the top democrats who allegedly committed more serious crimes.

Agree #3.
A deal is a deal however ill-advised. Surprised it took this long to be reversed.

It wasn't just the DA who used inadmissible evidence (which was misrepresented as a confession to the drugging and rape charge when it was actually Cosby claiming he shared Quaaludes with her before sex and she took them willingly), it was also the judge. He allowed testimony by other accusers about different allegations that were beyond the Statute of Limitations and that had never been tried, so it was all unconfirmed "he said/she said" testimony that, as the high court put it, tainted the trial. I noticed all this happening at the time and couldn't believe it was allowed to go on and wasn't immediately overturned. You can believe Cosby is guilty as sin, but nobody should ever be convicted under such crooked circumstances.

The history of Cosby's fall from grace in the public arena began when he dared to criticize hip hop culture's "sagging" practice and reflected a black conservative viewpoint. This was intolerable and he had to be brought down. Unfortunately, he also was one of the earliest black superstars from his comedy act and TV shows like "I Spy" and attracted a lot of female attention. He also got caught up in the Hollywood sex and drug culture of the '70s and his relationships from that era would later become useful weapons in the hands of pundits who wanted to take down "Americas's Dad" for his "hypocritical" conservative opinions. This became such a public drumbeat that an ambitious DA thought they could make a career for themselves by charging him with criminal acts that he had divulged in previous civil proceedings under an immunity agreement.
It really was just about bagging a big star in the end regardless of the Constitution or rule of law. Such is the state of justice in America. Just ask the CFO for Trump's organization.

Justice in Pennsylvania is Kaput! The cesspool which is Filthadelphia has long been under Democrat control, what else could we have expected?

They DA broke their promise.
"In exchange for testifying at civil depositions, the elected DA in office at the time granted Cosby immunity from prosecution. That agreement lives beyond the term in office of the elected DA at the time,"
The DA is a jackass.

Pay to play, baby... that's the ticket. The Criminal Justice system in this country is so corrupt that anyone who pays at the court or under the bench will evade/escape justice. This is as bad as it was during Al Capone's day when Judges were bought for a few coins.

Here’s my take, if you chose to be alone with a married man you weren’t there to play cards. He was famous and that was the attraction. Did you think you were going to allure him from his family. On the other side of the coin, Bill is a pig, wife and kids at home, disgusting.
