“Something told me, you need to run.” If Iliana Monteagudo had waited another minute to listen to the voice in her head, she might not be alive. “Two more minutes, no, no. Not even one. There was no more time,” said Monteagudo, who lived on the sixth floor of Champaign Towers South Condo that partially collapsed early Thursday morning, killing at least four and leaving 159 unaccounted for. “When I was running down the stairs I went from six, to five and then four, I heard a tremendous noise. It was infernal,” she said. “The building was falling.” “I don’t know how I managed to escape.”

Cracks opening up in the wall 'two fingers wide'.....Yeah, that sets off my "RUN!" reflex, too. She was lucky to make it out. Lazarus Long once wrote "Place your clothes and weapons where you can find them in the dark." I'll add, "and your ID", and "know the fastest way out of your building by heart".

Iliana definitely had guardian angels pushing her to safety. Structural failures caused the buildings to fall. Poor construction caused the structural failures. Just like the the pedestrian overpass that collapsed at Florida International University. Was poor construction intentional of the condominium towers? Time will only tell, and if it was, public execution of those responsible is warranted.

The number of people in that building ignoring the real, well-documented danger they were facing was matched only by the number of Americans ignoring the national debt.

On May 20, 2021 the state of Iowa passed a law “that requires all Iowa schools to lead the Pledge of Allegiance once a day in grades 1-12.” Governor Nordman said, “We don’t pledge our allegiance to a government or a leader. We pledge our loyalty to an idea – the American idea. We pledge our loyalty to the greatest social experiment to ever happen on this planet. This is why I believe the Pledge of Allegiance is so important.” However, the law also states: “A student shall not be compelled against the student’s objection or those of a student’s parent or guardian to recite the pledge.”

A new Jan. 6 video has surfaced from Bobby Powell, who hosts the “The Truth Is Viral” podcast, that appears to show black-clad rioters breaking out windows and defacing the Capitol after DC police were ordered to leave. During an interview with OANN, Powell suggested that the two men in black who busted out windows and reportedly attempted to push protesters inside may have been FBI informants. He witnessed the incident as he was on the east side of the building on Jan. 6 and commented on what he saw that day. “Two men I saw attacking the building, breaking windows, and even pushing people inside have not been arrested.

The death toll rose by just four people Sunday, to a total of nine confirmed dead. But more than 150 people are still missing. Their families rode buses to a site close enough to watch the intense rescue effort, including firefighters, sniffer dogs and search experts employing radar and sonar devices. I can’t say I would be excited about staying in that building either,” said Surfside Mayor Gary Burkett. “Champlain Towers North is basically the same building as Champlain Towers South. It was built about the same time, it was built by the same developer, it was probably built with the same plans, it was probably built with the same materials.

The campaign to scare the world into adopting unprecedented abridgements of civil liberties to fight a purported pandemic that threatened unthinkable levels of casualties had a lot of help from the officials charged with counting the death toll. Most readers of American Thinker are familiar with anecdotes such as the motorcyclist who died in a crash but was counted as a “COVID death” because he had a positive test for antibodies. An audit by two Minnesota state legislators late last year estimated that COVID deaths in that state were overcounted by about 40%.

The Pennsbury School District is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, which gave its votes to Joe Biden by a very narrow margin (assuming Biden actually got those votes). While the community is evenly divided, the School Board is leftist. It wanted to bring in a diversity program but didn’t want community objections to show up in recordings of public meetings, so it censored those bits. Many parents were outraged – and one man, Simon Campbell, schooled the board on its constitutional obligations, including having to sit there and take it when people say things school board members don’t like.

Do you know why some dogs in shelters end up perishing? Simple neglect? The sad status of being unwanted? Global warming? Nope. According to Katja Guenther, a professor of gender and sexuality studies at the University of California-Riverside, these canine deaths are due to “capitalism, anthroparchy, white supremacy and patriarchy.” Of course. Guenther says, for example, that people of color who abandon their dogs are likely victims “ensnared in the legal system,” forced to leave their animals behind “under the duress of sudden eviction or deportation or arrest.” She even claims that such people believe what they are doing is for the best, because of “the constraints of their knowledge and resources,
