Mitch McConnell ripped Democrats' voting rights proposal on Tuesday, claiming it's a 'transparently partisan' effort that shows the left's 'disdain' for Americans.'Many Democrats would pass [H.R.1] with the slimmest possible majority, even after its companion faced bipartisan opposition over in the House,' McConnell said from the Senate floor on Tuesday.'What a craven political calculation. What a way to show your disdain for the American people's choices,' he added. The comments come as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer prepares to bring a procedural vote to the floor to begin debate on the For the People Act, which would expand voting rights and access.

It won't expand anything, Daily Mail. It will allow all elections to be stolen. It would take away each state's right to control the voting in their state. We do not ever want the federal government controlling the vote.

It is a gross and egregious violation of Article 10 and will head straight to the SCOTUS. Let us hope the three ‘Trump’ Justices have more spine and common sense this time round.

Maybe if the Demon-Rats had give this an accurate name, like the "Demon-Rat Election Theft Bill", at least there would be truth in advertising.
But there little unconstitutional election theft bill is hopefully DOA!!!

It is disturbing to see formerly conservative publications, such as The National Review, start off articles with the assumption that the reader agree with them that President Trump is an unpopular egomaniac and anyone that doesn’t agree with their opinion is equally foolish. This week, they opine that “his narcissism is such that he embraced and propagated fantasies of fraud…”. etc. I did cancel my long term sub, but they still send it. Won’t be renewed.

This is all WWE-style woofing. Schumer is going to strangle The Turtle and his whole gang. The Turtle is saying Grandma Schumer wears Army boots. Tickets are still available at the Capitol box office for good gallery seats.
Remember, Mitch is the guy who negotiated from $650 billion to $1.25 TRILLION when the Dems initially asked for a measly TRILLION. Some negotiator...

Darned old Trump. Refuses to bow to our Chinese masters and makes things tougher for those who do. Like McConnell.

Schumer might call Trump a petulant child, but Schumer comes across as the schoolyard bully. He throws his weight around, has his gang of Democrats pushing around others to try to get his way, and gets mad if he can't have his way. It's Schumer's way or the highway or he will have the media beat you up. All for something that is not his to control anyway. Voting rules and laws are state issues. Schumer is just mad because he can't control it.

PDT used to give donations to Schumer's campaign fund.
Either Schumer has stopped asking for donations or doesn't understand the word 'NO.'
Schumer is a cry baby because the world doesn't revolve around him.

The procedural vote isn't going to pass and everyone including Schumer knows it. This is all about applying pressure on Manchin and Sinema to kill the filibuster by saying that the GOP is obstructing voter rights. Its an outright lie, but the Lugenpresse will happily carry that water.

If the "For the People Act" were properly titled it would be titled something like "The Democrats Control All Elections Forever Act."
Passage of this proposed Bill could well be the worst disaster in U.S. history regarding Republicans and other conservatives if not eventually decided to be unconstitutional by the U. S. Supreme Court, which is no a sure thing by a long shot considering most of the disappointing and discouraging Supreme Court Decisions decided since Biden's election. The assertion that the Supreme Court leans 6 to 3 conservative is a blatant falsehood.

And the vote is over. 50-50, directly along party lines. Manchin, of course, sold out at the last minute, as was expected by everyone familiar with that slug.
Now the Dems will begin the pre-programmed screeching about the filibuster again, which was the whole point of this losing vote in the first place.

Oh, I don’t know, Chuck. I think having a landslide victory stolen right out from under you, with nary a peep from your own party, is worth a pout or two, don’t you?

Don't look for Chuck U. Schumer to get over his Trump obsession any time soon. Chuck U has had forty years to get over himself and no luck so far.

Sounds to me that Schumer is the petulant child. I wonder if he went back to his office and had a temper tantrum.
