Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson of North Carolina emphasized the importance of the American work ethic and his success story Saturday night on "Unfiltered with Dan Bongino." Robinson is the first African American to hold the office of lieutenant governor in the state and caught the public's eye at a Greensboro City Council meeting, when he defended the Second Amendment. Fox News host Dan Bongino asked Robinson what politically motivated him. "Well, what honestly pushed me into it was something that someone said to me at work about 'talk.' They said talk's not going to do anything," Robinson said.

President Biden broke his own standard of the political protocol by attacking his Republican rivals during an overseas summit — but escaped scrutiny from the same media that ripped former President Donald Trump for similar moves. The commander-in-chief claimed the Republican party was “fractured” and Trump only had “phony populism” as he spoke at a press conference after a NATO summit in Brussels on Monday. Like his “clown show” from yesterday wasn’t enough he embarrassed our country this morning again!

Gov. Mike Parson (R) signed legislation Saturday to bar the in-state enforcement of many federal gun controls, including those proposed by the Biden administration. WLBT reports that Parson signed HB 85, the “Second Amendment Preservation Act,” at 2 p.m. The Act “prohibits the enforcement of federal gun laws by local law enforcement agencies.” Parson said: Throughout my law enforcement career and now as Governor of the state of Missouri, I have and always will stand for the Constitution and our Second Amendment rights.

One person was killed and another injured Sunday night after being struck by a car in the Uptown area of Minneapolis during a protest, near the site where Winston Smith was shot by sheriff’s deputies earlier this month. A witness said the eastbound SUV was moving at a high rate of speed as it approached just before midnight, and that the driver appeared to accelerate as they got closer to demonstrators who had blocked off Lake Street near Girard Avenue. The driver struck a vehicle parked across one of the traffic lanes on Lake Street, apparently positioned to protect the crowd. That second vehicle then hit people.

President Biden used his first news conference of his first overseas trip to send a message to the rest of the world, that “America is back at the table.” “I conveyed to each of my G7 counter parts that the United States is going to do our part, America is back at the table. America is back at the table,” the President said at a news conference from Newquay airport in Cornwall after the third and final day of the G7 summit. Biden then went off script and started mumbling nonsense about Trump and global warming.

President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin are currently not expected to hold a joint news conference after their June 16 meeting, CNN reported. Biden and Putin’s much-anticipated meeting comes on the heels of the 2021 G-7 summit. The duo will speak for the first time since Biden took office in Geneva, Switzerland. Two U.S. officials familiar with the matter told CNN that plans currently don’t include a joint press conference. This would mark a change from Biden’s predecessor, former President Donald Trump, who met with Putin on June 16, 2018, and held a joint press conference afterwards.

President Joe Biden on Friday met with top allies in Cornwall, England, for a G-7 leaders summit, the first such in-person meeting since the coronavirus pandemic began. While the focus of the summit’s agenda is on multilateral initiatives affecting the G-7 countries, all eyes are on the president’s upcoming sitdown with Russian President Vladimir Putin set for next Wednesday. Ahead of a group photo with other G-7 leaders Friday, the president was asked by a reporter what his message was for Putin. “I’ll tell ya after I deliver it,” Biden said, as he walked away to pose with the other leaders.

It is now clear, after the appointment of new attorney general, Merrick Garland, that he must, not may, appoint a Special Counsel to investigate Hunter Biden in public corruption matters that may substantially involve his father. This is especially clear now that it is known, contrary to his fervent denials, that Joe Biden met with Hunter’s corrupt Ukrainian and Russian clients at least once at Café Milano in Washington, D.C. There are likely more meetings, but once is enough. He also met at length in the White House with Hunter’s partner, Devon Archer, as the two were pitching their services to the corrupt Burisma Holdings,

American media is so infected with leftism that it’s ideologically slanted to the point of tipping over and it’s highly possible that the media doesn’t even know it. It doesn’t have the ability to look at itself critically, and we get very real moments where the media asks Democrats what it can do to better help them along while on air. The media in other countries can see it, though, and Australia’s, in particular, can’t help but dedicate a segment to it. On a segment during Sky News’s Kenny on Media, Australian anchors and commentators took aim at the American media

I’ve stayed away from writing about the election audit in Arizona’s Maricopa County because I felt that, until the audit was completed, there wasn’t much point in trying to offering commentary about its progress. (snip) given that Trump won Arizona by only 10,457 votes, the fact that 5 to 10 percent of the votes are currently missing is staggering in its implications.

The Girl Scouts have an unusual problem this year: 15 million boxes of unsold cookies. The 109-year-old organization says the coronavirus — not thinner demand for Thin Mints — is the main culprit. As the pandemic wore into the spring selling season, many troops nixed their traditional cookie booths for safety reasons. "This is unfortunate, but given this is a girl-driven program and the majority of cookies are sold in-person, it was to be expected," said Kelly Parisi, a spokeswoman for Girl Scouts of the USA.

There is one big thing wrong with the American dream of owning one's own home: the price. Now that the pandemic is easing across much of the country, prices are skyrocketing — just like at the peak of the housing bubble, houses are being snapped up for well over the asking price in a matter of hours. The Case-Shiller home price index saw an annualized growth rate of 13.3 percent in March, the highest figure in more than seven years. All this is a consequence of the American idea, and the goofy system we've constructed to prop it up, that homes
